Human resources gurus- Come in!
Does anyone know the process for salary market analysis? And how often employers are expected to do this? Is it required?
I'm asking because the small group of nurses at my office and I have been doing some research. We are making about 30% under the national average for most of our experience levels. It's a huge difference!
Do you think it's worth ruffling feathers over? WWYD?
The length of a minute depends on which side of the bathroom door you are standing on!

What do you mean that's the wrong side? Tastes great to me!

Re: Human resources gurus- Come in!
As long as they pay the federal minimum wage, as I understand it, that your job can pay you whatever the heck it wants.
I'm really just jumping in to commiserate that nurses in Oklahoma get paid really poorly for the most part, even accounting for our lower cost of living. DH is a nurse, and none of the major hospitals here pay anything close to what he was earning in Ohio (even though the cost of living is very similar.) Thankfully he found a job out in the boonies which paid significantly more and then got poached and promoted.
