Such an inspirational story! A boy with Cerebral Palsy asks his dad if they could participate in a 5 mile race to raise money for a paralyzed kid down the street. The dad pushes him in his wheelchair and finishes the race. 34 years later, they have participated in over 1,000 races, including 6 Ironman competitions!!

Re: Amazing story!
That is an amazing story! Now I suddenly feel very lazy and inadequate...
ETA: This story reminds me of a book I just read called Thunder Dog. It was about a blind man. He became blind shortly after birth and his parents were advised by the doctor to send him to a home. Instead his parents made sure he grew up having a normal life.
He was on the 78th floor in the north tower of the WTC on 9/11. He and his seeing eye dog made it out alive. It was a pretty good story also.
It had me in tears too! I much prefer to cry over inspirational stories than hopelessly depressing ones, though.
I think it's the father-son thing that does it for me. Any time men start to cry I lose it.
