See page 2 for the massages.

I'm going to book H a massage for this weekend while we're in Vancouver.

He needs a deep tissue/ Swedish type massage. Anyone up on their spa lingo? I'm not sure which one to book.

Thanks!

  • My only advice is to make sure he's plenty hydrated if you go the deep tissue route.

  • I cannot help you with that, but I really want to book a massage for H because he's been so tired/stressed out - he's almost done with this rotation, which is at the place where he wants to eventually go to residency and he's gotten really good feedback, I'm so proud of him!   So anyway, suggestions for a place?

preferably :)  I have a feeling he would see it as less of a gift if I made him drive 45 minutes to get there, lol.  He isn't opposed to driving, but you know, not fun exactly - however, I would avoid 520 because there is a husky game this weekend.  Going north would be ok

  • they have "registered massage therapy" and deep tissue is listed as that.

I've had really good luck for massages at the U Village InSpa and I really like the no tipping policy.

I don't know if you're still looking, but my former therapist moved to her own business: http://fireflytherapeuticmassage.com/

I loved her. The deep tissue was AMAZING. I was sad when she left Massage Heights (where she was originally) and so I quit there too and haven't picked it back up yet.
