Parks for Little Kids?

Anyone have rec's for some parks that are geared more for smaller kids? Maybe a park that has a designated playground for ones under 5?

Re: Parks for Little Kids?

  • Andrews Park in Norman has a great playground area geared toward smaller kids that is fenced in.  I can't remember what part of town you are in, but if you are not down south, City Park in Yukon also has a separate playground for younger kids.  I haven't ever found any parks that are great for little ones actually in Oklahoma City.

Is this the park that is off of Webster behind the Baptist church? That's the one we go to. I didn't know if it had an actual name or not. I do love that there are covers over the playground equipment.

  • Veteran's Memorial Park in Moore has a separate play area for smaller children. I believe Little River Park (also in Moore) has one as well.
  • I'm not sure what area you're in, but there is a park on Hefner Lake (not stars and stripes, there is another park right off Hefner Parkway and Britton like you're going to Pearl's/Red Rock/Mama Roja's). I have been there many times and it's typically younger kids and toddlers, especially if you go during the day when big kids are at school.
