Ideas needed: H's B-Day present

H's b-day is in a month and I need to figure out a present for him, and could use any and all ideas since I'm coming up blank.

The basics on my H:

Turning 28

Likes sports (football, basketball, baseball = Huskies, Seahawks, and SF Giants)

Likes cooking

Likes playing games on his PS3 (sometimes his Wii)

I need ideas too! My husbands birthday is Sunday and I still have nothing. I would say for yours you have something to work with since he likes sports. What about tickets to a Seahawks game? You could go to a game and then out to a nice dinner or something since he appreciates cooking too.

My husband is turning 33 and isn't really into sports. He likes audio equipment, guitars, cooking, and computer stuff. He pretty much buys something when he wants it or needs it so it makes it very hard to figure out gifts. Also this is his first birthday with us being married so I want it to be special. The problem is I can't spend much because I am not really working right now. (I am a substitute teacher this year and not many teachers are calling subs yet.)

Anyone have any thoughtful and inexpensive ideas?

In all honestly, sometimes it's SO hard for me to think of gifts for H. A lot of the things he wants are way above our current price range (new golf clubs) or video game related (which I obviously can't pick out for him). Trying to think of other ideas...

Personally, I always give H experiences instead of actual stuff. We're getting to the point where we feel like there's too much stuff laying around the house.

Are there any places he's been wanting to go? Things he's been wanting to see?

I vote experiences as well. Tickets to a show, game, etc.

I would like to do something like that, but DH and I usually have different days off, and with football season going on, I don't see how we could get away during any weekends until January or February.

screw experiences. i buy my h something useless he would never use....... but in the sense of less than $10....we buy each other more gag gifts than real gifts when it comes to birthdays/anniversaries/holidays.
