So I really liked it! I was kind of into the new look with the new camera angles and stuff, and I loved how they handled Stabler's departure. It was awesome that it wasn't swept under the rug and that we actually got to see Olivia react...I think it is perhaps the fifth time we have seen her cry in 12+ seasons...maybe the sixth.
I have always wanted Olivia and Elliot to end up together, as I am a total shipper, so the knowledge that that probably will not happen is sad for me. However, I love Mariska Hargitay so much and am looking forward to her having an acting challenge this season, as she has to really make Olivia grow into a new person without her partner to lean on. Maybe this coming year, she will be an actual Emmy contender, instead of just a head-scratcher!
Re: L&O: SVU - 9/21
i didnt LOVE it. but i liked it. agree- the camera angles were different and it was a good look. i didn't really like the story of this one...but i'm sure it will only get better.
i like the new girl- amanda rollins or whatever... i liked her in chase and i def think she plays a good cop.
i'm going to try to stop thinking about stabler. lol
Agreed, liked it, didn't love it.
But I miss Stabler so much
As the previous poster said, I'm interested to see how Olivia's character changes and develops without Stabler around.
I just wasn't a huge fan of the story line last night.

Apparently he shot a teenage girl, there was an investigation and I guess he decided to quit. They didn't really go into too much detail about the shooting.
I liked this episode. I like the new girl. Maybe next week we will get to see the new guy.
teenage girls mom was a rape victim. she was about to testify and got shot on the street. teenage girl was mad. felt like stabler and benson didn't do all they could. come to find out 3 guys were involved. rapist, homeless guy, and a different cop. they were all in the holding cell. teenage girl comes in crys, blah blah. then takes a gun from a cop and shoots the 3 guys in the holding cell. stabler tells her to stop. she goes to shoot again so he shoots her.
that was the season finale last season.
so there was an investigation as to why he shot the girl. and they opened all the other times he shot when not necessary, i think.
It was definitely weird without Stabler
I actually didn't care for the new girl but maybe she'll grow on me.
The squadroom got shot up at the end of last season (that's when Stabler shot the teenage girl).
I finally watched last week's premiere. I miss Stabler. Its not the saaaaaaame!
