Which one of you did it? (venting, sorry)

Who taught my boy about the wonders of 530 in the morning? This is the third day in a row of wakeups  before 6 (well before the acceptable time of 715) and I am starting to feel the pain. Believe me I need no training in being up early, I was hoping to get the benefits of my last week of decent sleep, and now this happens. Oi, and of course I am over emotional so I wake up crying because I am so tired and actually sore which doesnt help matters. DH has no sympathy, he gets up at 6 every morning anyway, so he doesnt care.

I am so looking forward to Saturday, my mom graciously rearranged her hospital time to noon on Sunday so that she could keep monk all night for us on Saturday. We have a kind of important function for one of my husbands organizations and it will be nice to celebrate and not have to pick him up after. I will be for sure catching up on some sleep too

  • Ugh. I'm sorry, that stinks. I feel your pain though. I'm not pregnant but for some reason Natalie has been waking up in the middle of the night and wanting to play. It's awful and I'm not good without my sleep.

Hopefully he goes back to his regular sleeping schedule! I think kids have like a 6th sense and maybe he realizes some big changes are coming soon with the new baby.

  • That sucks he's waking up early, and doesn't help that you're late in pregnancy. I'm sure you're just thinking, Why kid? Why???? But you can do this, you'll get through. Bless your mom for rearranging and helping you out too! Make sure you thank her appropriately (so she doesn't grumble when you ask her again in the future ;)

Oh yeah, she nearly begs me to take him but I try not to take advantage of that, because I do know how hard it is when you dont always know what he is signing and whatnot....it can get pretty stressful.  I have to figure out something good to do for her!

  • I would not be happy if my kiddos woke up at that time at all. I'm lucky my kids love their sleep though. The earliest they wake up on their own is 8:30.
  • we have sleep issues...its common for spectrum kids. Hard to get him down for sleep and if he wakes up (generally he doesnt) sometimes we have a hard time getting him back to sleep. These past few days hes been going to sleep well and sleeping well at night until 530-6....which wouldnt be horrible except that I am getting up multiple times a night and having trouble sleeping myself.
