Re: Christmas Shopping Poll!
I literally do wait til December! Haha! I get my bonus check around the first week of December and that's when I go. I cash the check and that limits how much I spend. That's usually just all the shopping I do for the girls.
For other people, I buy here and there starting in November. I'm really bad about not spoiling surprises, and I want to give people gifts as soon as I buy them. So I try to not keep stuff around or I'll never make it til Christmas.
I wait til December too for most of it. DH also gets his bonus usually the first paycheck of Dec. I still like going Black Friday shopping, but last year was the first year in a long time that I actually went for something specific I wanted for the boys and fought the crowds and got it...usually I go with things in mind but if its too crazy, I leave.
I told myself I was going to start now this year so it's less stressful and I'm not spending a ton of money at once..this year is going to be a pretty small Christmas gift wise.
I have Evan done unless I find something he just HAS to have. He's not getting much so I won't feel bad if I pick up a few more things.
I have ideas for our moms but haven't bought anything.
I have no ideas for our dads...ugh.
DH and I don't exchange gifts so that's easy. We also don't exchange with SIL/BIL.
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
I didn't vote, because I haven't started yet, but I plan to start before December thisyear. I'm in a wedding OOT the weekend before Christmas, so my past last minute shopping isn't going to work this year.
PS - who has a wedding the weekend before Christmas, when Christmas is on a weekend?!? If I wasn't in the wedding, I may not go. Ugh.
I have usually started early, but this year I haven't even thought about it. Oy. I need to get crackin' that way I can afford it. lol.
We are doing smaller gifts this year for christmas though, I can't afford to do too much.
I said I'm thinking about starting, because I am. But will I? Probably not!
We did get a few small gifts from E's sale so, I guess technically I HAVE started. But I always say I'll start soon, but don't usually start until Black Friday.

I pretty much shop year-round for X-Mas and birthdays.
I get stuff on sale, on Craigslist, and eBay. Since my SD's bday was in April, I've been getting her stuff since for X-Mas. She's close to done. I'm planning on getting her Kinectimals and maybe one or two more things. SS's bday is in a week, so I still have him yet for Xmas shopping, but again, I plan on doing a couple of games, books, clothes, etc. They will share whatever DVDs I get them. I wait until Black Friday for DVDs. I almost always get them SUUUPER cheap.
It's easier for me to shop year-round so that it's less stressful and less harsh on my bank acct.

TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
I can't start Xmas shopping before the Oct/Nov bdays are done. And we have a lot of them in our family. And good ideas never come to me unless I've super procrastinated. I rely on amazon prime 2 day shipping for most of my gifts.
Although I have been picking up Groupons as they come out if they appeal to me as a good gift. Thank you Groupon!
