Another Christmas post :) Kids presents?
My kids got a ton of toys last year so I would like to keep the toys down this year. I''m having a hard time with what to get them because of this. I still want them to enjoy christmas but know they could care less about getting clothes.
What are you getting your kids for Christmas this year?
Re: Another Christmas post :) Kids presents?
Last year we did one big present and then a few small presents and had the grandparents do one small thing and then we did memberships to zoo, childrens museum, swimming, gymnastics, etc...
What we did so they still felt like they were opening somethng was I did a collage of different animals with the zoo membership so they knew this was a present to take us to the zoo.
We are struggling because as the kids get older and technology is such the big thing with pre-teens/teenagers is what to get them. I think this year it will be clothes and hoping to find something that is fun for them but have no idea.
For S-man, not going too crazy as I said in earlier posts. We are going to get or ask for a swing for the back yard, may ask for a carseat for him since we will need two, sleepers, books and the rest...I need to start looking at what toys are out there for kids his age.
Evan is getting:
wooden tool bench and tools
Tag Jr (that I bought probably 2 years ago!) and books
bedding for his big boy room
a couple DVD's (if he'd ever start watching a show for more than 5 minutes at a time)
a chair or bean bag (i haven't bought this yes but I plan to)
a doll so he has his own baby
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
Your BIL had one on their swing set until this summer perhaps they still have it.
We are asking for books (although MIL says "He already has too many" idiot), clothes for Spring/Summer, and toys that are age appropriate since we have none. We've talked about opening some type of savings account for him. We may do that for his birthday, though.
The only things we are getting are a wagon, 1st Christmas ornament and we'll start a series for him this year, and maybe some books.
