graduation gift ideas for my mama

my mama just finished courses for her bachelors degree.  I am incredibly proud of her.  She will have the whole cap and gown ceremony next year.

I want to give her something special now but at a loss...  any ideas would be great.

  • What about a Spa day or if the two of you went to see a show in the city. If you don't want to spend to much you could go to the Westchester dinner theater.

I am trying to think of things my mom would like and she is the type that just likes spending time with me doing something fun.

  • Goooo Momma Sugar! That's awesome.

I like Billy&Sarah's idea of a Spa Day for the two of you. I say do something like that, or a day out just the two of you.

  • i personally have zero patience for spa stuff.  maybe diva a/k/a my hubby would go with her. lol.

anyway i have done spa days for her and she never goes.

    tried broadway shows, same deal...

she is an odd duck, but 10000% my hero.

    she does love to dance.....

love costume jewelry but is very very matchy matchy.  maybe i will take her shopping?  ugh. my mama. can't make things easy....lol.

  • my mom would hate a spa! but she'd be a-ok with a manicure at her local place.

what about a piece of jewelry, or a new leather wallet or purse? would she appreciate a donation in her name to a favorite charity/cause?  maybe a fancy scarf or cashmere sweater. i don't know your mom, but i'm thinking of useful, practical things that you can get the luxury versions of.....

maybe take her out to a special celebratory dinner at a really nice restaurant.

  • What about a certificate to get her diploma framed?  Or if her school is local, maybe you can pick up the frame there.  My school sold beautiful frames in the campus bookstore.
