Vegan-friendly restaurants in Houston?
H and I are going on a sorely needed date tomorrow night. He has recently gone vegan, and I'm not too hip on the Houston restaurant scene since I moved north.
Where can we go besides Baba Yega, Hobbit Cafe, or Field of Greens? Has anyone been to Conscious Cafe on Scott? Nit Noi has vegan dishes, don't they? Just trying to figure out our options.
Sushi will be our fallback if we can't figure out anything else (vegetable rolls and miso soup for him I guess), but I'm tired of the places up here, so throw out some suggestions there too if you have them.

I've been told Quan Yin on Bellaire:

and Madras Pavilion on Kirby:

I've not actually eaten at either so I can't comment personally. But they do get good reviews from the vegans/vegetarians I know.
Pretty sure Nit Noi does offer vegan choices as well.
I brought my cousin and her vegan girlfriend to T'afia and she had a wonderful meal.
I can't imagine being vegan. It's tough. I might be able to give up meat easier than I can give up wearing leather...
I know I can't do it. I love cheese too much. The vegan cheese just doesn't do it for me.
