I bought a strawberry plant at the beginning of summer and potted it (we rent, so we can't have a garden). I don't want it to freeze when it gets cold--can I bring it inside for the winter? Are there any steps I need to take?
Re: strawberry plant
In my experience, they don't do well if wintered inside. I left my strawberry pot outside last year (Zone 5) next to the house and it survived just fine.
What zone are you in? If you're in International Fall, MN my answer may change.

Then leave it out. I'd put it some place where it won't get buffeted by a lot of wind, but other than that, it should be fine.
And don't forget to water is every now and then.
