Jury Duty is over....some details inside
The defendant was charged with four counts of rape of a child. We found him guilty of all four charges.
It was definitely not an easy case to sit through, and my heart just breaks for this girl. The defendant is her uncle (she was 10 when it happened; 12 now; developmentally delayed so that mentally, she's more like 5). While it didn't have any bearing on this case, she's also been sexually abused by her father and by two cousins. Her name is Sarah. Please say a prayer for her. This little girl desperately needs genuine love and affection (which I also don't think she's getting from her mom or anyone else in this dysfunctional family).
It makes me so angry that people like this can procreate like rabbits, and I struggle with infertility.
I did confirm yesterday that there is a murder case going on in the same court this week; I'm so glad I didn't get put on that jury!!

this is SO sad. what a horrible person, and i hope he gets the absolute worst penalty for everything he was charged for.
and that little girl, poor little girl. i hope she gets some help. definitely lots of t&p's for her, i hope she gets to a safe environment soon.
