s/o re the Food Snob post - what junk do you love?
pop tarts, canned cheese, twinkies, etc??
Re: s/o re the Food Snob post - what junk do you love?
I like cheese in a can!!! There, I said it. I also like Velveeta Shells & Cheese. Apparently cheese products are my weakness........
DH likes all kinds of gross junk, particularly questionable meat products like bologna. But we rarely buy it.
the shaped macaroni and cheese like I said below lol. Love.it.
Ramen noodles (makes me feel like I'm college haha!)
frozen pizzas
tostino pizza rolls
Ugh, I have a junk food weakness. Aside from mac & cheese which I buy at the grocery store always, these are things I more likely buy when I buy my lunch or something - it's not stuff we keep in the house. And I try to keep it rare, but...
Pop Tarts, Cheetos, Combos, basically any kind of candy. Right now I'm on a Goldfish kick.

I was about to ask what canned cheese was? lol
I definitely love pop tarts, frosted donuts, instant grits.
Nothing wrong with Goldfish. DD eats them all the time and so do I.
Pizza is my weakness... In my opinion there is no such thing as "bad" pizza. I'll eat pizza from anywhere from gourmet places in Chicago to the local skating rink.
I even ate pizza from a street vendor in Germany that had salami on it (instead of pepperoni). It was the least exotic offering!
I used to love the kraft mac and cheese, but I just can't do it anymore. I don't like it.
I like pretty much any boxed muffin/brownie/cake mix. My mom makes home made whipped cream but I really don't like it - I much prefer the reddi-whip stuff.
We do get some box mac'n'cheese for the kids, but not the neon orange stuff. Also I am fine w/ whipped cream in a can, if it's real cream & not oils w/ HFCS (so I buy the Cabot brand or a local brand @ Graul's over the Reddi-whip.)
For the most part I have found healthier junk alternatives to replace the original junk. My DH loves pop-tarts, so we buy the Nature's Path brand instead of the real Pop-tarts because of the artificial dyes, same w/ toaster waffles, etc. We also get the biscuits and cinnabons in a can from TJs as special treats. Definitely not health food, but so yummy!
Kinda off topic- DH & DD went up to NY this past weekend and spent one night @ DH's cousin (who has 2 girls that E loves) - before they left on Sunday morning DH & DD both had a toaster waffle, and the mom poured DD a bowl of Fruit Loops- she tried them but didn't like them! I almost cried tears of joy when DH told me this!
We usually have a box of mac 'n' cheese in the pantry, but it's rare that I eat it anymore. It's an easy thing to grab for DD's dinner and I buy the Annie's Organic to make myself feel better about it.
We buy Eggo Waffles for DD, which are pretty junky. I want to get a waffle iron and make my own, but it just hasn't happened yet.
I looooove Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies and Cheez-Its Double Cheese Snack Mix. Love to the degree that I don't buy them anymore 'cause I just inhale them.
