As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Can we talk about the holidays?
Has anyone started shopping for presents yet? I'm feeling a little behind because I'm usually done by Halloween, but with everything going on I'm still trying to figure out what to get M/FIL.
Thankfully I don't have many people that I have to shop for. This is what I'm doing so far:
My parentals- Clarisonic Skin Care Pair, or maybe 2 Mia's if I can't find a place to buy the pair tax free.
SIL and fam- tons o movie tickets
2 GF's- 3 month subscription to Birch Box
M/FIL- no clue
Secret Santa gift for my family- lottery tickets
H- not doing presents this year, but I'll get him something if I see something "perfect" for him
I know I should make H do his parent's gift, but he'll wait till Dec 23 and that totally stresses me out.
What are you guys all doing?

although last night while I was hangin on the ave, it was rather warm out! I was totally surprised.
ok, fine. If I have to participate, I will say that I haven't thought about it yet, but since someone brought it up the other day I realized I should start thinking about H's present because he is so hard to buy for.

I married into the right family, adults don't give gifts to each other and only family living in the immediate areas exchange gifts with the kids.
DH and I don't do gifts.
All I need to buy is something small for my 2 nieces (my brother's kids).
I haven't bought a single gift yet, but I have been thinking about X-mas.
I want to order our Holiday cards/postcards by mid October.
My dad: he'll just get the card, and he's lucky he's getting even that.... @$$hat
My mom: Spa-like beauty products, probably, and I'll give her the wedding photo album around then too.
My Brother: Probably a couple 2012 calenders. That's the only stuff he's interested in (part of his autism)
My Gma: Framed wedding photos and I want to bake her something using the KitchenAid stand mixer she gave us.
ILs: Wedding photo album, and probably books.
SIL: No idea, I keep looking through Etsy to see if anything inspires me.
SIL's partner of 11+ years: Probably something from thinkgeek.com
Gma-IL: Framed wedding photos and some dessert items from the Made In WA stores (I don't think anything I can make would ship well).
My 1/2 great-niece IL: Something appropriate for a 1 1/2 year old. I'm not getting anything for our 1/2 niece or her husband, because they didn't get us anything for X-mas OR our wedding, but I will buy their daughter something.
H: Probably a couple items of Husky clothing. I have no clue what else, I'm hoping something pops out to me.

And so far...I'm only focusing on getting our house in order and then our Oktoberfest party followed by Halloween. I'll start thinking about that stuff around then.

I'll admit that I've started thinking about Christmas...but really only to start contemplating what I should get my SIL. She's due with her first baby on Dec 18th, and I definitely don't want to get her something for the baby. But I have no idea what she would really want or need at that point.
Otherwise...I, too, refuse to believe that summer is over. And today, it's warmer outside than it looks!
