*Mrs.G*

I know you had an appointment/NST today, how did it go? I'm hoping everything is okay since we haven't heard from you.

Are you still being able to put some weight on?

Just checking in on my due date buddy!

- We had an appointment today and everything went well. I lost 1 pound, but MD's aren't concerned. We had another fetal weight u/s and they are estimating about 5.9 pounds at this time, and we were able to see that she has hair!! I've been having a lot of low pain, so she checked me and my cervix is closed but said the baby is extremely far down (which makes sense since my Mom told me 1.5 weeks ago that I had dropped). I go back in 2 weeks and then weekly until the end. Turns out I'm having contractions that I didn't realise I was having. MD said just to call if there are 6-8 in an hour. I hadn't realised I was having them, until she explained what they feel like and how I can tell. Now I realise I've been having them for 1-2 weeks.

Re: *Mrs.G*

  • Just getting a chance to get online. After my Drs appt, I took Taryn to see her great-grandma and then we celebrated my youngest sister's birthday.

NST went well! Heartbeat was good; she wasn't super active, but it was enough to satisfy the Dr. I asked her if I'm at an increased risk of PTL since I did with Taryn and she said yes, but she'd be more concerned if I had actually delivered pre-term. I'm just getting really nervous because DH is being sent to PA for training during my 36th week (went into PTL with Taryn at 35w). His boss said he would be on the first flight back if I did go into labor but I'm still on edge!

I didn't gain anything from last week's appt to this weeks, but the Dr hasn't really mentioned my weight the last few appts. Just a quick "are you gaining?", checks the record and that's that. I've put on about 20 lbs so far, which is just about what I did with Taryn...but I also started 10 lbs lighter this time around. I really hope I can pack on at LEAST 5 more lbs, if not more before Tessa's born.

I've been having contractions a lot too, but my Dr hasn't checked me yet. I even mentioned at today's appt (to the nurse, but forgot to talk to Dr) that I've had even worse lower back pain and have had some pelvic pressure the last few days. I hope to remember to ask next week...we start internals next week or the week after.

I also have another u/s on Monday to check baby's growth. I'm hoping she's moved up on the growth curve!

Glad to hear things are going well for you! Cute that you were able to see hair! I'm expecting Tessa to be pretty bald just like Taryn was (and myself!).

Can you believe we are SIX(ish) weeks out?!

  • I can't believe you're both so close!!!

Emily, that's about the same time we saw that N had hair... and you know how much he had! So fun!! :)

  • I know, it's crazy that it's just about 6 weeks left! I'm kind of leaving the only excited feelings behind and now I'm a combination of excited/terrified...I know I'll be fine and I know how to generally take care of kids, but it's going to be MINE!

I'm glad things went well for you at your appointment today, I hope for no PTL for you and that DH gets to PA and back with little to no activity (in a bad way) from little Tessa.

My shower is on Saturday, which is really exciting, and then we will start buying what we know we will need, and wait on some later things to see if we need them. But man...over the last 1-2 weeks I have been feeling so much worse. It's worth it, but it's starting to get rough.

My check today wasn't bad at all, I was expecting it to be painful.
