Need a vacuum recommendation!!
I'm sooooo sick of our loaner canister vacuum. It's always getting stuck on corners and smacking me in the back of the ankles...
So, I'm looking for a recommendation for a new upright vacuum. We have 2 cats & 2 dogs and a lot of carpet (for now - our plan is to rip up the carpet downstairs, if the dogs don't do it first).

Mieles are rated highly in the bagged category, and several LG and Eureka models scored well in the bagless. The Dyson Animal scored 4th in bagless; that's what a lot of Nesties recommend for pet hair. But it was several times the price of the Hoover, so I got the Hoover earlier this summer. The bagged models scored better overall, so I got the bagged version and buy HEPA filter bags. I can't really compare it to other models because I've only ever had one other Hoover. But I like the vacuum.
We love, love, LOVE our Dyson Animal. We have 2 chocolate labs and a shi ztu. LOL I swear our house is usually pretty clean, but without fail, I dump the canister 3-4 times. ALL dog hair.
Seriously, I know its expensive, but it's the greatest thing since slice bread.
