*Easy* baby shower foods?
I'm throwing my SIL a baby shower next weekend, and I totally haven't started planning it yet. I've sent out invites...and that is it.
So...I could use some help planning food. The shower starts at 2pm, so I don't need to serve a full meal. I basically just want to do easy finger foods and cake (or cupcakes). The shower will be held at my parents' house, and I'll just be flying in for the weekend, so whatever I make needs to be pretty easy (since I won't have tons of time for grocery shopping or cooking).
The only thing that's popped in my head so far is those crockpot meatballs. Anyone have an awesome, easy recipe for a yummy dip? Any other ideas?

I vote cupcakes as the sweet- order some from the local bakery and grocery store.

Ditto this! I can this every year and run out so quickly, everyone loves it!
Suggestions: if you dont do the above, definitely do a cheeseball! fruit salad, veggie tray, go to the deli and pick up some chicken salad then put it on a dish, and serve it alongside mini croissants (lettuce and tomato) or make these:

Do you know any of her favorite foods?
This dip IS good! I made it a lot this summer
These two recipes are really easy and a huge hit! We made both for our Pinwheel open house and for my fsil's shower last month. Everyone at both parties asked for the recipes and kept raving about them. We served the dip with garlic toasted bagel chips and crackers

Swiss bacon dip

My bad. That's not the right bacon and swiss dip!
Hot Bacon and Swiss Dip
One 8 oz. package of cream cheese, softened
? cup mayo
1 cup swiss cheese, grated
2 Tablespoons green onions, chopped (we leave these out)
8 slices bacon cooked & crumbled (I often use the precooked kind and just reheat- it makes it even easier)
? cup ritz crackers, crushed
Mix cheeses and mayo together. Add green onions. Pour into 1 quart dish (I usually use a pie dish). Top with bacon and crumbled crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Serve with Ritz or any cracker.
