Happy Friday ladies! Any weekend plans?
We're keeping it low key around here. We'll probably go to happy hour tonight with some coworkers, and we're going over to a friend's house to barbecue on Sunday. Other than that, I intend to catch up on my sleep!
Re: Weekend plans?
Saturday -a friend and I are going to tailgate at the Atlanta Classic Football game. It's a tradition btween two HBCU's- FAMU and Tennessee State University. I used to go every year in HS and college and it's always a good time to see the bands perform and to hang out with my friends and alumni from those schools.
After that we figured we'd hang out in the city and try to find some garage sales or something cheap and fun to do. I've got to get used to getting paid once a month again. I've been spoiled by bi-weekly checks for the last year. This month was a fun money budgeting #fail.
Sunday- I'm so excited because my family from Germany will be in town visiting. My uncle came to visit twice last year for funerals, but I haven't seen my Aunt or cousins since 2004. I feel like I'm 7 because I know she is going to bring me all my favorite Germany foods(ok candy) that I love. I can already taste them. I'm also excited to bust out my rusty German skills. The hard part is going to be not try to cram into their suitcase when they leave.
Today - I am getting my hair cut. Finally. It's only been like 5 months or so... and I need something done with this mess. This is my inspiration photo... the cut, not the color. I'm not sure I could pull off black.
Then later this afternoon, DH and I hare heading to NC Wine Country. I'm pretty stoked to go on a mini-vacation with him. We never actually go on a "real" vacation - it's just a weekend or long weekend. I think he gets stressed out thinking about not being home with responsibilities and flying by the seat of his pants. Me, on the other hand, likes to roll down the windows and let me cares fly away. :-)
So hair cut, vineyards, and football. Perfect fall weekend.
DH leaves in about an hour for his BFF"s wedding in Indiana. N & I aren't going because the reception is adults only and we don't really know anyone up there that can babysit.
Tomorrow morning my mom & I are hitting up the semi-annual twins consignment sale. I was expecting to get loads of clothes but it looks like I may be shopping for N instead, and maybe some gender neutral stuff.
Sunday night when DH gets back I'm going to "craft night" with a few friends. We're all making something from pinterest. Should be fun!
Not much else... hopefully a relaxing weekend.
Our crazy, wonderful life
Rainy all weekend, at least it said that yesterday.
We would like to meetup with one of our college friends who just had a baby. His GF is in New Hampshire, and they are staying here for a month while their house is being built in CA.
Maybe we will go to an indoor playground. I would like to go to stroller strides. AND Need to go shopping for Evie and I. Going to hit up Marshalls.

Happy Friday!! We have a wedding tomorrow night. Might try to hit the outlets tomorrow morning, we'll see.

Tomorrow we're going with some couple friends to a wine festival. We go with them every year and we always have a really good time. There's also a home show on Sunday that I really want to go to. Our realtor always sends us free tickets every year (love him) and we haven't been able to make it yet.
I've got lofty goals of more home reno stuff, fall decorating, and yard work in between these things. We'll see how that goes.
Our guest bedroom is being converted into Jack's new room (so little Carter can take over the nursery). It was painted last weekend, and tomorrow I am going to get bedding and curtains and a few last minute things to finish it off. So excited to see it come together!
Sunday we've got a bday party to go to, and football to watch, of course.
I am going to try and enjoy a whole weekend off of work since I am still on vacation. Tonight I think we are just hanging around at home and not doing much. Tomorrow is a busy day. We have my best friend's son's 1st birthday party to go to and then another one of my friends is getting married tomorrow night. The kids are going to be spending the night at my parents house so we can go and have fun. Sunday I plan on sleeping in since we are going to be kids free. Then the rest of the day will be spent relaxing, watching football, and eating probably. DH requested homemade pizza and wings to watch football Sunday, but we have to wait until Monday night to see our team play, Redskins vs. Dallas, can't wait!
I am actually headed out to our annual Girl's Weekend with my Mom and my two sisters. We haven't gone since 2009, I don't think, so I'm looking forward to it. We're going out to the North Fork of Long Island to some wineries, some outlet shopping, some good restaurants, etc.

This sounds really fun, I hope you have a great time!!
Yay for 30! And yay for all that yummy food. Sounds like a fabulous way to celebrate! (not just the food, the lake and cabin too, haha)
My boring blog
I did a coworker a favor and switched call with her...so I'm on call this weekend. Tonight I work then I plan to do some laundry when I get home.
Tomorrow we will catch up on laundry/cleaning. This is the first Saturday in 4(?) weeks that we won't be going to a Mizzou game so it's time to play catch up. Mizzou plays in Oklahoma (Lord help us) at 7. We are going to my IL's to watch the game with some family friends. I hope I don't get called into work during the game.
Sunday I will go into work for a few hours in the morning (or until all the patients are scanned). Then it's more football watching and HOPING I finally win a damn fantasy game...I am 0-4 two weeks in a row. Ridiculous.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Like Lyns, our weekends have been super busy and tied up with football, so I plan to take tonight to get some much-needed cleaning done. I also need to write a paper over the weekend, but it shouldn't be too difficult, just time consuming.
Tomorrow DH is attending yet another home football game, so I am going to venture over to my parents' place for lunch and a nice visit with them. My dad finally has a day off, so I'm looking forward to having him spend some time with Natalie (and myself, of course.)
Sunday, we are attending the 1st Birthday Party of Natalie's second cousin Olivia (Walt's cousin's baby girl.) I'm looking forward to seeing the girls play together-- hopefully those lessons on gentleness I've been working on with Natalie have sunk in.
