Updates on Us - a little late

I didn't realize the board came back to life!!  Woot!!

I'm going back to school.  I am taking 3 classes this semester.  I'm in pre-physical therapy assisting, it is super competitive and I am not even able to apply for admission until Feb. 2013.  I'm really undecided though, it is either that or occupation therapy assisting.  Whichever I get into first, LOL.  Both are competitive and have wait lists.  The classes are the same for both right now so I don't have to stress too much.

Davis is doing awesome.  We were told back in March he had mild autism, which I never posted here.  Well, we are positive the doctor who diagnosed him was flat wrong.  His therapists cannot believe the quick turn around Davis has made.  It is just amazing.  I am 100% convinced the majority of his speech delay had everything to do with his sleep apnea/tonsils because he had about 10 words when he went into surgery on June 10 and 3 weeks later he had so many words I stopped counting.  We go back to see that behavioral ped in 2 weeks and cannot wait to hear what he says.  I'm also a little disheartened about him, he is supposed to be THE man in regards to autism, but I was talking with a friend who works with autistic kids and she said they are seeing a lot of wrongly diagnosed kids coming from this doctor, ever since he started his very own, specialized, very expensive program.   hmmmm......funny because he really pushed it on us, he discussed his program more than he discussed Davis.

I started looking into pre-school for Davis, eeeekk!!!!!  I can't believe we are already at this point, it seems like yesterday.

I gave up cake balls/cake pops, it was getting to be overwhelming and certain customers were starting to drive me plain nuts and I wasn't making enough money to make it worth my time and with going back to school it would have just been too much.

  • Good news about Davis! :)

You looking at preschool for next year? I had no intention of enrolling Abby, was going to wait until she was 4 like Addison but I've started to rethink it. She LOVES going to school w/ Addy. I  have to drag her out of the classroom. I am now leaning towards enrolling her for next year.
