Most random poll: Bathroom fans
Re: Most random poll: Bathroom fans
one bathroom has a light switch and fan switch.
i finally had someone come out yesterday to fix the other bathroom, which had no fan but a light switch. he put both on one switch. i want both switches like in the other bathroom. i have no idea why this bugs me but i want the two options and trying to figure out if it is worth paying him to come back and do it. he is going to check into finding us the right type of switch or whatever for our wiring.
true story. It suuuucks to shower with the window cracked when it's snowing outside, because if you don't open the freaking window, mold will take over your life.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
all my nyc apartments only had a window. IN the shower. no fan. super-awesome.
It would bug the heck out of me because I hate the fan and refuse to use it. We don't have a problem with moisture and frankly I *like* the idea of a steamy shower even if it never actually gets steamy enough in our bathroom for my taste :P
This is us exactly. I have to give big props to DH. He's the one who installed our bathroom fan upstairs, including doing the wiring (two switches) and cutting holes in our bathroom ceiling and the roof!
I prefer the separate switches, but we have both.
Our second switch in our bathroom is to a heating lamp, which I looooove. If this is a remodel related question, I highly recommend this or heated tile (which is more expensive, but truly amazing).
Stand up for something you believe in.
One bathroom has separate switches for the light and fan; the other has 3 switches for 2 lights and the fan.
The fan in the bathroom I use broke and it took a couple of weeks to get it fixed, and in that time, I got brown spots on the ceiling. They came right off with bleach, but it was still eye-opening.
Or when your fan breaks and your DH hasn't fixed it after 7 months. 7!!! I like to take hot showers and the paint is starting to crack and peel on the ceiling. :P
we have 1 and 2. we have two lights in both of our bathrooms, one of the lights also has a fan that operates from the same switch.
i like that i can have the (other) light on and not have to hear the fan.
oooh, i LOVE this too! we have one in one of our bathrooms, which is also the bathroom that gets the best hot water during the winter, so i love showering there and turning on the heat, too!
