I really didn't think Christina was going to go through with it, but I was so happy to see Owen fully support her. Meredith's talk with him was spot on.
I knew the Chief was going to step down but did not see that coming. Was really surprised he took the fall for Meredith even though I knew there was no way she was going to stay fired as the show centers around her.
Was really happy to see Christina, Meredith, and Alex stick together even though sh!t has gone down between them.
and I was so sad to see Zola get taken away, I hope Meredith and Derek get their sh!t together soon and get that baby back.
kinda meh about Bailey taking over the Chief's trial. The mice bore me.
Re: Greys 9/22
Is the Chief actually stepping down? He said something about that not being the end of his career -- so I thought he was just done with the FDA trial.
Mice bore me too.
Also, April is annoying. Will they change chief resident or have her grow into it? WDYT?
I was CRYING at the end... over Zola and Christina...

The Chief is stepping down. It's already been announced who will be the new chief on the spoiler sites.
I actually really liked the episode. Loved the Mer yelling at Owen bit. I think I might have dropped the show if Cristina kept the baby, so I'm glad they found a great way to get Owen to understand.
Also loved the bit of Cristina stabbing Alex. And why is he sleeping at the hospital? Didn't he have a trailer last season? Or was that Derrick's and he took it back when he moved out?

What websites because I haven't heard this yet?
ETA: Okay poking around I found some websites.
I know you found some, but TV Line had it a while ago.

I really enjoyed this episode and agree that it reminded me more of the early days. I loved Alex, and I loved that he, Christina, and Meredith were banded together again. I also really loved that Owen and Christina figured things out there in the end.
And I thought it was awesome how Avery became the Gunther, even if I don't really like him all that much (well, I should say I feel neutrally about him...he's not one of my faves). OMG, April was miserable as chief resident...I hope she gets it together soon!
And I loved Bailey, as I always do...and I might have let it slip my mind that Teddy and Henry were together now, which means that I was super excited for their storyline because I love them together!

I really enjoyed so much about this episode.
I'm torn on the Christina abortion. I agree she shouldn't be a mom, but I think she was also very stupid to get pg again. I also didn't like that Owen wants kids and she doesn't. I was okay the first time, this time honks me off though. Andplusalso, she agreed to be godmother to other people's kids how does that work? I used to love her, but not right now.
The whole situation with Meredith was annoying to me. I'm glad she got her job back since obviously the show is centered around her...but I just felt like the way they did it was strange. I don't really see the point of having her get fired but whatever...I guess it's just for the drama of it. I hope Derrick chills out and realizes that they need to work it out for the sake of the baby.
April is so dang annoying. I wish she would've fallen into the hole.
Yeah I mean it's great that Owen respected her decision ahd chose to be with her sans kids but WTF lady. Two oops pregnancies? What the hell kind of birth control is she using?

I LOVED it!! I read somewhere that they were going back to the core people this season- thank goodness because Ive about had it with Callie and Arizona ( I like them, but all of last season was about them!)
Loved that they showed both sides of loosing something when you are mother- Mer's side was heartbreaking, and Christina had a moment where she broke down. Even though Christina didnt keep the baby for a brief moment she was a mom. I get she needs to be more careful, but after her 1st pregnancy she lost a fallopian tube, so maybe she figures she wont get pregnant again- who knows!?
I still love Derrick- he's upset- he has a right to be- Im interested to see how they work it out. Now if they would just get Lexi back with Sloane.
LOVE Bailey- how do you not love her? Her lines are just too funny, but where was her hottie boyfriend?
Ugh, he drove me nuts! I didn't miss him at all. In fact, I didn't even think about him until I read your post and then I thought...blech. hah!
I agree.
I disagree. This trial is a huge deal for him. What makes the betrayal of Meredith even worse is that he is doing a trial on this matter because of her. Now she goes and nullifies the very research that could prevent what happened to her mother? Plus, he can't trust her, which we saw referenced in previews for next week. Her tampering with the trial will have consequences for her both personally and professionally for a long time, regardless of what the Chief says for the official record.

I agree. I don't think he's overreacting at all. Assume this is real life and they're not just "playing Dr," Laner. She screwed over the hospital, she screwed over her husband and most importantly she screwed over all of the poor patients and their families. Do you remember how upset & hysterical the wife of that one patient was in the finale? The trial is over because of her. All of the money and research is gone. Plus, as pp mentioned, he can't trust her. I think it was a huge betrayal and I would be flipping furious if my spouse did that to me. It would take A LOT of counseling.
This exactly. They're doctors for crying out loud. Its not like they haven't been educated on safe sex or don't have access to birth control. Totally irresponsible.
