Could someone please gently remind my husband to not question my every move at 5:15am while I'm on the elliptical minding my own business and not bothering him? ...and he wonders why I was "testy" this morning. You're darn right, boy... he's lucky I didn't chop him in the goozer.

Standards Based Grading and angry parents--why is it now part of my job to teach every parent about what this is--I didn't choose to do it so the people who did need to provide some education!

3 hours of meetings on a friday. from 10-12 and from 1-2. Yeah getting NOTHING done today.

Monday I have 2 doctors appointments, from 10-11 (wart removal on my thumb, which HURTS so bad since I got it done 6 weeks ago and didn't get rid of it so they probably have to go deeper and cut off more nail - will take picture if anyone wants to see :-P, and then I have my annual at my gyno at 4ish). So not much work on Monday.

Sawyer has a runny nose and low-grade fever due to a slight ear infection, but it's not slowing him down; just making him messy. My allergies are in overdrive, I'm sneezing and congested like crazy, and it's giving me a sinus headache. All I really want to do is lay on the couch and not move, but instead I'm playing snot wrangler all day. Blaaaaaaah!

I haven't been out running for the past week and I feel like crap. I've been so nauseous, sick to my stomach, and oh so tired. I got my flu shot last week and have been sick every year after receiving it. I can't tell if I'm pregnancy ill or flu shot ill. I think I'm in denial that it's pregnancy related, but I just want to feel well enough to go for a darn run!

I have to do my annual review "self-assessment" that was due.......this past Monday. So, yea. I have GOT to do it today and I just can't. It's so annoying thinking about all the stuff you did over the past year and being all "I'm so great" - when sometimes you really think you aren't, you know.

I called DH to update him on my OB appt this morning and he says, "Wait? What? Oh, that's right, you had an appointment. Okay well I'm busy so I'll talk to you later." I know he's been busy, out of town, and super stressed, but he is SO disengaged from this pregnancy right now....

I read two articles today regarding how our generation is essentially never going to live up to its self-made expectations, save the rich few. I'm so frustrated with the national and global economy in so many ways, and feel incredibly helpless. Some days I read these things and feel like I'm tied to the tracks while a train's coming (silent-movie style).

That's what I get for reading.

DH has been away traveling for work since Wed morning. He's been gone before, but this is the first time he's been gone since I've been back to work, so it's been a matter of figuring out a new routine to get Mads & I out the door in the morning. On top of that, my child who has been a picture of health for the past 16 months, was up miserable & wailing all night Wed night (3 hours of sleep for the two of us).... took her to the dr yesterday & the poor girl has an awful ear infection. She's on antibiotics & is much more herself this morning, but I'm exhausted! And so glad that DH will be home later tonight!!

I have been on vacation this week from work, which has just been a staycation for me. Since DH is still working while I am on vacation, he thinks this means that he gets a vacation from any parenting and household duties this week. It has seriously pissed me off! His excuse is that he was working all day and I was just home with the kids. Umm...yeah being home with them both all day is a job dear, along with keeping the house clean and cooking 3 meals a day. Tonight I was upstairs in the kids' bedroom rearranging furniture and packing away outgrown clothes. I was up there for 3 hours. I come back downstairs and he is still on the couch playing video games and both kids were crying for attention. I was so mad because the first thing he said to me was, "What's for dinner? The kids need their diapers changed too." It caused a little bit of an argument to say the least. I am just so irritated with him right now. So much for a relaxing week off of work.
