QOTD- POLL

Would you say your house is in visitor condition

Re: QOTD- POLL

  • I think it depends on the visitor.  I think there is a huge difference between "mom's visiting" and "good friend's visiting".  I think more often then not, my house is more of a mess than I would like.  So I said that it isn't usually in "visitor" shape, but I would feel comfortable having a friend come over.

Right now it looks pretty good though!

  • I will say my living room is usually always in vistor shape, that is if they dont' mind kid toys. My kitchen is usually the catch all room for the clutter. That room usually needs the most work if we know someone is coming over.

  • I voted sometimes, but more often than not it is at least 5min of cleaning away from being in visitor condition.  There are usually too many things on the end tables, someone's socks are on the living room floor, mail on the kitchen table, etc.

In the last few months it's been pretty bad, though.  We've been so busy getting ready for the baby, taking classes, whatever, and I've been too exhausted to clean.

  • My house is pretty much a total disaster most of the time, despite what some of you may think, lol.  Constantly renovating means that everything is pretty much always in transition or cluttered with tools, supplies, etc.  I would be completely embarrassed to post a photo of my living room/kitchen right now.
  • I don't really clean up unless I'm having a "party" or something.  Not that my house is in disaray (of course right now it looks like a tornado hit it after the kids put toys everywhere!).  People know I have kids, so if there are toys out, they know, and I'm a neat freak anyway, so it's tiddy most times.

  • It depends who's coming over - it never really looks that bad - but it can get kind of cluttered during the week - and the kitchen can get a little messy since I'm not the neatest cook, lol

I would say it looks "lived in" , but clean most of the time.  But I defintiely do a bit more straightening cleaning when we have family over.
