I just saw someone firebomb a Maserati.

Oh my god!! Are you ok? I don't know what I'd be feeling after seeing that. Were the police helpful at all?
I was driving with a friend when we saw a guy pouring gasoline all over the back of a parked Maserati and set it alight.
There were a few people driving by who pulled over when it happened, so I wasn't the only witness. The police came up to me, took my name and number, and asked me if it was an Indian guy. Apparently there's some guy going around town doing this to luxury cars. That makes two whackadoodles on the loose. This guy and the one who is going around throwing acid on women. Lovely.
Crazy to think that happened in broad daylight.
I read an article in the Singapore paper about the acid guy.
Seriously? Because it's not being reported in the local papers at all. It's just information that gets passed around via word of mouth and in expat publications because the guys have yet to go after a Malay woman.
I'd say their attempt at keeping it on the dl isn't working so well then.
Yeah, article said this woman wasn't the first one to be attacked. Scary stuff.

I'm kind of glad that I didn't know about the acid guy when I was there a few weeks ago. That would have really freaked me out.

To this point he's only struck in two suburbs that are pretty well populated by expats and non-Malays. If you were just in the city you should have been fine.
