I have a really weird urge...
to work retail again. It's been like 6 years since I've done it, but for some reason I really want to take on a part time, holiday retail job this year. A part of me really misses it because it was so fun helping other people spend money and I really love it around the holidays.
Has anyone taken on a part time, holiday, retail job lately? Was it hard to get? Where did you work? Is it minimum wage pay? Is it hard to juggle your schedule between a full time job and a part time holiday job?

I think a lot of stores still do it.

I could see you as a personal shopper at Nordstroms or a place of the like. Something F&B so that you can help out the poor schmucks that come in and have no idea what to get their lades.

I worked at Nordstrom in college. It kinda sucked at holidays.
Those personal shoppers make bank. Those are actual careers for those people. I think that'd be so much fun, but I couldn't do it for real.
Oh, wait, nm. I looked up minimum wage in Washington. It's $8.67. I think if I worked for minimum wage I'd end up paying a store to work bc I'm sure I'd be buying stuff with the discount.
Perhaps this was a bad idea.

Yes, crazy. And yes, you'd probably spend more than you make. Why don't you just take friends/fam/nesties shopping and help them pick out things for the holidays to get it out of your system.
