So I realized today that my doctor and hospital now have an online system where you can make appts and view test results - cool! I was looking through my old test results, and I had a ton from my pregnancy, including all my NSTs and U/Ss and stuff.
Anyway, they I got to my last U/S when I was 33w pregnant and I'm reading it and it says 'Number of Fetuses: 1 F". and I'm all like "yea, one girl...." and then I realize...I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS A GIRL. So, now I know, I cannot read these when I'm pregnant this time unless we want to find out the sex. WTF?! How pissed would I have been?!
Re: Funny Medical Story
Good thing you know now. Is it possible for them not to enter the sex? I know my practice just takes a quick look but does not write it down at all so no one can slip.
Oh I would have been pissed. But also I may have played the ignorant card and thought F stood for Fetus

Agreed! I wonder if you said don't write the sex on my report if they would anyway ... Is it necessary that they know the sex of the baby pre-birth? I mean for medical reasons, my OB didn't do my anatomy scan and even though I knew the sex of my baby I don't think I ever heard her once say boy/him/he until after he was born.
Sometimes, yes. I know at least two people that had strange values come back at either NT scan or 20 week u/s and they wanted to be Team Green but they ended up finding out the sex b/c the values were in the OK range for one sex and not the other. I don't remember specifics but I know both were having boys and were OK since it was a boy.
Totally thought F stood for fetus too lol
Me too. Before I got to the last part I'm like, "Yeah, one baby."
