DH vent

DH has called me at least 10 times from work regarding our vacation in November. Its in November!!! Argh ... but he has to know NOW what we are going to do exactly, activities, what cities we are going to stay at, if my parents have anything planned (we are going to California for my sister's wedding), etc. I told him I'd look into it, but he just won't stop calling! Now he is saying that had he known there was nothing planned he would have just gone for the weekend. Stupid me, I thought it would have been a nice idea to take at least a week-long vacation together...

Thanks for letting me vent. Feel free to share anything you'd like to vent about too ;)

Re: DH vent

  • 10 times in one day? Maybe he has nothing better to do at work? Lol. My vent is that I am SO EFFING SICK of this back/hip pain. Physical therapist says nothing can be done about this particular problem (rotated sacrum?) while I'm pg and it will get better when the baby is out. I can't take it anymore! I can't do a damn thing. Yesterday I had to sit down and rest twice while freaking grocery shopping. I hate not being able to do things on my own!
  • Tell him you have nothing planned yet because you were waiting for a good time to sit down with him and see what HE would like to do while on vacation.  You instead of just micro-managing his time.

You were respecting him.  Yeah that sounds good ;-)

Haha, I like that. I wish I could come up with great responses like that on the spot.

The funny thing is each time he'd call, he'd also say that he had a lot of work and couldn't worry about this right now... and then 30 minutes later, he'd call again. Ahhh, men...

  • Goodness, what is going on? Is there something at work causing pressure about going on vacation at that time?

I'd be pissed at my DH and then send him a block schedule. Here's the daily breakdown of what is scheduled, and what isn't. Along with my ideas for how to spend those free times. Emphasis on my ideas; he would have to supply his otherwise it defaults to what I want.

That's exactly what I did! I sent him a day by day, hour by hour breakdown of what we'll do. It shut him up finally, he didn't even respond to my email after that ;)
