Alright, I know how much the regulars dislike BC questions, but i don't think this warrants a call to the dr....

I just started Lo Loestrin Fe and i was wondering when i should expect my period. is it when i take the white pills or the brown ones?

It should be the white ones. Are there more white ones or brown ones? Usually, the white ones are the sugar pills, which means that you are basically getting no hormones, so it is the same as taking nothing, which allows your body a change to have a period. Every pill gives you a different number of sugar pills. I'm on Yaz, and I get four. Some pills give you more, some less. But if you do get your period while you are taking the hormone pills, that happens sometimes, and does not necessarily mean that the pill isn't working or that you will get pregnant. there's 2 white and 2 brown. i wasn't sure if the white ones were lower hormones and the brown ones were sugar pills.

When I was on Loestrin (only a few months ago) it was the 4 brown pills at the end of the pack that were sugar pills. It usually took a day or two for me to get my period following all of the white pills being gone.
