Baby girl needs to sleep later in the morning

C wakes up around 6-6:20 every morning lately.  Yesterday she had a short nap, went to bed kind of early, but she was up at 6.  While that isn't extremely early, on preschool days, I need her to stay in bed until 6:30 so I can get partially ready before tending to the kids.  When she gets up, she wants her milk then cuddles for awhile.  The cuddling is great, but we will never get to preshool on time if I snuggle her for 45 minutes in the morning.  Her bed time doesn't seem to matter. She has been going to bed on the later side, but then last night was earlier and she still woke up at the same time.  The only other thing I can think of is to try to get her to eat a snack before bed.

Re: Baby girl needs to sleep later in the morning

  • I would certainly try a snack or at least a cup of milk before bed. I try to make sure J's snacks have some substance to them so they last longer. I do crackers w/ peanut butter on them, toast, apple slices, cheese stick, or something along those lines. Good Luck!
  • I hate to say it, but I think it's gong to be easier to change your schedule to accommodate your needs than it would be to get her to sleep later.
