The title should get me some views, at least, but I really need help!
It's obvious to me, especially now, that I totally took for granted how easy my pregnancy was with Jack. This one has been 100% different and much more difficult. Anywho, I've been having a lot of pain right down on (what feels like) my pubic bone. It seems as if it gets worse everyday and much, much worse if I've been on my feet for any duration during the day. I'm sure it's not helping that Kid2 is estimated at over 5 lbs at only 32 weeks (cool!).
Will a maternity support belt thingy help? Anything else? I will try anything at this point. Like I said, it's all in my pubic bone area and not necessarily "the belly" feeling all heavy. I'm mostly concerned about having to shoot weddings 10/1 and 10/22.
Re: I can't believe it's come to this. . .
I wish I could say it went away or got better by doing this or this but for me it didn't.
Sleeping with a pillow between my legs at night helped a bit but other than that I didn't find anything that really helped. When DD#2 dropped a bit it got better but once she began to engage it hurt again in a different way.
Sorry, I know its not what you wanted to hear.
I would get a support belt. It helped a ton with Berkeley.
Also, the pillow between your legs--prop your lower half up to take the pressure off as much as you can.

I can totally feel your pain, literally! If I'm on my feet, I constantly have some sort of ache or pain in my groin and right about my pubic bone. If I stand up too fast, I feel like someone is stabbing me.
I talked to my OB, and he says it's the round ligaments and that it usually hurts worse with the second kid since they are being really stretched out now. I have done a ton of googling, and the basic advice is to stay off your feet. Um, my job requires me to be on my feet 7 hours a day and I have a 3 year old at home, how does that work?
I am honestly nervous because I'm only 25 weeks. There is a lot of time to go, and a lot more weight for baby girl to gain before this gets better. I've been trying to do a stretch where you get down on all fours and push your butt up into the air, but it doesn't seem to be doing much.
Another teacher had a band thing she wore when she was PG that had suspender type straps. I think she wore it for her back, but in theory it looked like it would help with the front too. My issue with something like that is that she sits so low, whenever I have anything, like a waist or belly band, tight, it is uncomfortable because she starts pushing out on it. Sometimes I wish I could just stand on my head all day to get her to move up.
So, no real advice, but definitely sympathy! I try to keep quiet about it because I am very grateful for this baby, but the pain is getting old.
This is really the most accurate description of what it feels like.
I'm going to try the belt, for sure. Any sort of relief will be welcome.
Thanks, all, for commiserating!
After reading the responses on here about a belt, this is one I found on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Gabrialla-Elastic-Maternity-Support-Medium/dp/B000ZKE4AM
I may be trying this one out depending on how this week goes.
