Ciao from an old timer looking for some travel advice
Hi INs.
We are going to Barcelona in a few weeks with our toddler and I would
be very welcoming of any helpful information for our trip.
Specifically things to do with her that are kid friendly, also I'm a
little concerned about getting around. I want to take public transport
to get around the city because we are not taking her car seat and I'm
hoping it is more stroller (handicap) friendly than so many other place
in Europe.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance and I hope everyone is doing well!!
Re: Ciao from an old timer looking for some travel advice
I was in Barcelona at the end of August with my fiance's 4 month old nephew, and we had no problems getting around with the stroller. All of the subway stations we went through had elevators, so that wasn't a problem. I think there was one place where we had to change tracks and the guys carried the stroller up a small set of stairs, but other than that it was fine.
It was my first time in Spain, and I LOVED it! I think it's my favorite city I've visited in Europe so far (or tied with Edinburgh). The setting and architecture is so beautiful - enjoy your trip!
I was there in April with my DS and got around fine. The hardest part was they are a late night culture, so we stayed up later. We took him to eat with us and had tappas in the city and was great.
We took a taxi everywhere that we didn't walk and I didn't use a car seat.
I personally hated the hop on hop off bus. I liked the beach
So did DS.
Enjoy!
Thanks very much! I was most worried about dealing with the stroller. Rome is NOT stroller friendly!
Thanks very much for your insight. I agree late nights can be killers. We tend to take our little one where ever we go since there aren't to many places that babies aren't welcome in this culture. She doesn't have too many late nights out but she does pretty well when she does. Now hopefully i haven't just jinxed us!!
