Hi!
I'm finishing my last year in law school in Paris at Sciences Po and am working on planning our May 19, 2012 wedding in Yosemite Nat'l Park in California from abroad. My fiance should be joining me from January to April for the last three months of my stay here; his company just recently agreed to let him work remotely! We have a lot on our plate, as our home is currently in North Carolina, where I went to law school for two years before moving to Paris, and sometime in the next year, I will take the CA bar exam and we hope to move back to the West Coast. I saw another recent "New" thread here, but thought I would start one today.
So, hi! It's nice to meet you all.
Re: New Today: American in Paris
HI!
Weekends can be a little slow around here. It's currently 7:15 AM on Sunday morning for me and the only reason I'm up is because the dog was being annoying. ;-)
I'm an American living in Australia with my Aussie H (although you probably saw that in the other "new here" thread too!
Hi and welcome!

Thanks for the wonderful welcome! I love Paris so far; what a wonderful place! Last Saturday, I walked out of my apartment to a strangely exotic technoparade and this weekend, there was a flea market on my street and the candy stand was set up right outside my building entrance! Who could ask for more?
I will absolutely miss it! My degree allows me to sit for the French bar, so maybe at some point, I'll move back to Europe to work. Who knows! I lived in Belgium when I was 15-16 with a family there and went to a local school, so I always appreciate coming back to the European lifestyle.
Anna, good luck with the move. I'm sure you'll do great with your three-year-old. I've been so pleasantly surprised at how many little kids I see in my neighborhood (Marais). Maybe I'm just noticing kids more and more, but it seems more child-friendly than San Francisco and parts of Boston where I've lived before.
Thanks again for the welcome!
