Kitty update PIP-updated with a few more pics
I took the stray kitten to the vet today and he got a clean bill of health. He's a 4.9lb, 5 month old boy who purred the whole time he was getting examined. He's been so calm and sweet and I can't wait until we can finally let him out into the house (he's locked up in the basement right now.) Here's a picture we took after his flea bath tonight:

Oh, and we named him Julius (as in Orange Julius). DH gets all the credit for the cute name.

My Blog Picture A Day Blog
Last night my cat Koda didn't even seem to notice that Julius was in the basement. He was curious about the door being shut down there, but that was it. Today, though, Julius is wandering around the room more and has gone near the door which has caused Koda to hiss and growl a couple of times. We're thinking we're going to leave Julius down there for at least a few more days before we bring him upstairs in the carrier to introduce the two of them. Hopefully all goes well!
Give him lots of love, he looks like a cuddler.
He's definitely a cuddler. All we have to do is walk in the room and he starts purring. It's so cute. At the vet yesterday they had a hard time listening to his heart and lungs because he was purring so much, so they had to turn the water on the scare him. haha It was really cute.
He is adorable!! His eyes just have a look of "thank you!" in them like he knows you took him in to keep. So sweet.
Good luck with the transition and introduction with your other cat. Hopefully it will be better than you might expect. FX.
So far, so good. He's interested in the fact that the door is closed and has hissed and growled a few times, so he definitely smells the cat. He's spent most of the day sleeping up here, though, so he's not too worried about it, apparently. We'll see how things go once I actually introduce them face to face.
