  Aww, thank you for asking. It went really well! DH and I picked her up about 4:15 and swung by Hungry Howies to get a couple pizzas. My dad and his wife and my brother came over and we all just sat and laughed and talked. She stayed the night with us and we watched The Princess Bride. We have plans for next Saturday to go shopping. I forgot to take pictures until Saturday morning so I'm going to try to get some next weekend.
  
  My dad says she favors her grandmother (my dad's ex-wife/ her dad's mom. That was confusing, lol). She's taller than me, has long strawberry blond curly hair and she's very fair with freckles. She and I were standing next to my brother and I made the comment that I totally got screwed by the tall & skinny gene.
  
  Oh, and the cake I made turned out amazingly well. It was a good day!

  Oh, I forgot to add she was THRILLED with the Target gc and the cash my dad & brother gave her. I heard her say "Wow, that's a lot of money!" to herself. It was really sweet to see her so excited.

  Oh wow. That is really great. I think it's wonderful that you're making an effort to get to know her. Hopefully you guys can continue to hang out and become closer over time.
