bachelorette party help

i'm throwing a bparty for my fsil this saturday. they're all coming to bham and we're staying in a hotel downtown. We're going 'out' that night, but most of the clubs/bars don't get started until 10 or 11. So the plan is to go to dinner at 6, then come back to the hotel for a lingerie shower w/ desserts and wine. Let her open gifts, play a few games and hang out until it's time to go out.

Any ideas on games? I had my brother answer questions that we'll have her answer. But I can't think of much else. There's going to be 6 of us and we all only know the bride, so I feel like we need at least one more fun little game to get us all to loosen up.

And any dessert ideas? I'm getting choc. covered strawberries (bride's request) and the other bridesmaid is making cupcakes. Maybe that's enough since we'll have just eaten dinner?

I've never been to a bachelorette party, so I have no clue!

Re: bachelorette party help

  • I think you're probably covered on the desserts.  Like you said, you will have just eaten, and then I'm assuming there will be some drinking when you go out...so you don't want to get too full or eat too many sweets.  (I'm thinking sweets overload + alcohol may = not so happy tummies!)

For the games...to be honest, I don't think we've ever played games at any bachelorette party I've been to (which is, like, two).  But here are some links with some ideas (many of which are drinking games or are super sketchy, I've noticed, but others sound like fun):

  • I have done the questions thing and the bride has to put a piece of gum in her mouth for every wrong answer. or you could get her to take a shot.

at my bff i got some champagne and before we all got pretty toasted we each went around the room and toasted her. it was really sweet and we all decided before the toasting that none were going to be mushy.
