Reputable Jewelers in New Tampa

I have to have my engagement ring and wedding band off for a medical procedure first thing on Monday morning; with the hormones I'm on, I'm so bloated and I can't get them off.  I'm scouring the web for any possible solutions to try and get them off, but if I can't, I'd rather have a jewler cut them off them a doctor (as there is a lot of intracte detail on them, and I'd want it done by a jewler who would know the best way to solder them back together)

Any recommendations?

  • I don't have any recommendations as I'm not familiar with New Tampa at all.  I go to Continental Jewelry on Westshore.  But I just wanted to say Best of Luck on Monday and I will be thining of you and sending love and lots of T&Ps!!

  • I'm sure you have tried everything, but load up on tons of water before you go to sleep and try to get your rings off in the morning BEFORE you get out of bed.  The increase in water should cut back on the bloating and the rested state of your body means your hands/fingers won't be so swollen.

Can you use the jeweler who sold you your rings?  Maybe another jeweler that carries that line?  If you can't find anyone, I'd suggest Romantique in Dunedin (not close to you, I know), but they custom built my engagement ring and resized my band, recreating the original design at the soldered area.  You'd never know.

Thanks for the suggestion on Romantique.  My rings were bought in Massachusetts, so going to that jeweler isn't an option

I talked to the lead-nurse yesterday when they called with my pre-op instructions, and they said they would hate to have me cut off my rings if they weren't cutting off circulation, so they just tape up by rings.

I will definitely keep both these jewelers in mind, because you never know .

    Thanks again!
