Amazing Race 9/25
OK, before I can talk about the show and the people on it I need to know, did anyone else notice that the Taiwanese soldier was edited in? There was someone standing next to him, but for the part where he said "welcome to Taiwan" and for close ups the guy was totally standing in front of a green screen. I want to know what the deal is!
I was glad they let the last couple stay in, they seem like nice people.

The brother/sister team is the team that I think is going to annoy me. They JUST started the race and they are already at each others throats? Oy.
Ethan/Jenna - of all the "celebrity" teams they've had on, I like them the most. But it cracked me up when Ethan was like "we dont' want to tell anyone who we are". really, dude? You think they don't already know? Anyone who watches Survivor is going to know exactly who the two of you are.
But the people who were calling them 'greedy' for doing this after they won Survivor - huh? It's a race, there is no guarentee they'll win, and didn't Ethan use a chunk of his money for charity anyhow? These two strike me as far from being "greedy".
I didn't notice the check-in scene, though. Sorry.

I call total BS on the "lost" pasport thing. There is just no way the producers didn't have their hands all over those guys showing up at the airport.
And I already have a couple to hate! The dating couple - I don't even know their names. They came in second or third though. He said going on the race was like "taking the car into the shop. I'm seeing if I'm going to be buying the car." WTF?
I'm glad it wasn't just me that noticed this! He was totally standing in front of a green screen. It looked so fake. I wonder why they did that!
I was happy it was a non-elimination leg as well. They just got off to a bad start so I hope they turn it around and can get their heads in the game.
So far, I like the former football player and his wife and Jenna and Ethan. I don't usually like the former reality stars but they haven't really been in the reality spotlight too much and they seem like nice, non cut-throat people. That being said, I don't want them to win! They've already had their glory!
I really like the idea of no one going home the first leg.
I am a Jenna and Ethan fan. They have done tons of charity work since winning. Ethan did lots of charity work before he was on Survivor it's clear they only know a little about them. I would never think they were greedy. (Rob and Amber sure) Although let's be honest even with the greatest insurance I'm sure his illness took a toll on his money.
I like that they changed it up and it's no longer look for the box with the flag.
I didn't notice the green screen but I would bet it has something to do with privacy and release requirements.
I didn't get how those two guys were helped one of the first teams with directions and then were still at the gas station and found the passport of one of the last teams. And why did they assume it was the passport of one of the teams?
I like Jenna and Ethan and the snowboarding team so far. I didn't notice the green screen thing, I'll have to look at an episode online.
It did'nt seem that suspicious to me, I think alot of people would have hung around that gas station if they randomly saw some racers, thinking they might get a better chance to be on the road. I think if the production would have had something to do with it they would have just turned it into the gas station, knowing that they would go back since they seemed to have plenty of time befor the flights left.
I'm an Ethan/Jenna fan. I think that with what they've been through - with Ethan having cancer and Jenna losing her mother, I think that they're deserving of being in the race, regardless of if they've won before or not. And they give some of their money to charity.
The brother/sister team .... I think they'll annoy me. The preview of next week of them - eh. They seem like they're at each other's throats all the time, so I question why on earth they'd even sign up to do this together. Maybe there was nobody else that would do it with them?
The older couple that came in last, I felt so bad for them that they were last. I'm so glad that they made this a non-elimination leg. I hope that next leg they aren't eliminated and they get their heads in the game.
The Vegas girls .... really? The passport thing ... I don't know how much of that was scripted? But they just don't seem very .... smart? I know that sounds so terrible, but I don't like them.
But how anti-climactic would that be? Isn't it much more interesting to watch them go back, not find it there, go to the airport and not find it there, and think their game is over? *Commercial break* Then... just when you thought it was all over with... out of nowhere, two guys show up and save the day!

I totally noticed the green screen too. I figured maybe there was just a lot of stuff going on in the background or something they couldn't show, so they green screened it to have an empty background.
This totally irked me too. What could they have still been doing there by the time those girls showed up?
I'm glad the older couple is getting a second chance. I don't think it will help them at all but I'm glad they'll be around another week.

The passport thing confused me. maybe I missed something but weren't' they just hanging around the airport complaining about it or did they actually drive back to the gas station? I mean, if they didn't drive back, why wouldn't they at least try to find it. I don't know. Strange.
That was a pretty confusing clue and I didn't catch onto the green screen.
I love when people say they donated some of their winnings - tax deduction. But I am sure they are nice anyway. I really don't know anything about them.
The twin sisters drove me crazy too.
They did go back before they even got to the airport.
And I agree about the clue. I loved "Its always stripes ... not circles!"

I just finally got to watch it online.
I never watched survivor so I have nno clue about Jenna and Ethan other than I saw him on CBS's early show when he was going through or had just been through treatment for his illness and he seems like a standup guy. Personally even if they already have millions it is a competition, who says they'll win and how does it make them greedy. I am sure most of the people that can put their lives on hold for the AR probably don't have to worry that much about money in the 1st place, if you had to worry that much it seems as if you'd be worried about losing your job while you were gone becuase doesn't it take like a month or so for their travels around the world to be comleted?
So far I like most of the teams, the twins and brother sister team are slightly annoying but every one else hasn't gotten me either excited for or rooting against them yet. usually it all shakes out for me by week 3 or so to see who I really don't like.
