Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie
am I the only one that is over this?
I read all the books over a year ago and then we watched the foreign film (sorry, forget the country) soon after that. When I heard the movie was coming in English, I was interested but that was over a year ago. Now I am bored and doubt I will go out of my way to watch it.
Re: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie
I have already read the first two books and I'm halfway through the last one. I also saw all 3 of the foreign films, I think they are Swedish??..
I'm actually kind of excited for the English versions of these. I hope they don't change much of the actual story line.
I think an English version is a little overkill.
The Swedish versions were good and I doubt the American versions will be much better.
Although Lisbeth should have been cast by a shorter person, so I hope they do that in the American version.

I recommend the Swedish movies, I know you will love them!
The swedish movies were wonderful so i am sure i will be comparing them incessantly, but i hope they stack up.
I would actually probably be more entertained with some changes. I found myself bored in the Swedish movies because I knew what was going to happen. It was more of a "oh that is interesting how they did that" instead of a "whats going to happen?" Maybe I saw the movies too close to the book.
It took me like 100 pages to get into the first book. SO boring at first.
I loved the books, and somehow only managed to see the first and third movies, but I really liked them. It didn't bother me to have the subtitles, and maybe it helped that I knew the story. I'm mixed on my feelings for the movies in English. I will see them, for sure, but I get what you guys mean by not going out of your way to see them, as I have read and seen them already.
