Happy Monday?
I had every intention of being crafty yesterday. I pinned a bunch of ideas for some DIY art and some fall wreath ideas, and then, I spent too much time pinning and didn't make it to the store. Craft fail.
Derek made some great progress on kitchen stuff this weekend. As of the end of the day yesterday we've got 5 full sheets of our cabinet stock cut down to size. Now, I need to get a jig made to drill some holes and we might actually be able to put a cabinet together! Oh! And, our cabinet doors are being delivered to Tim and Shannon's house today! (it's free to their house, not to ours)
No big plans this week, probably just work on the kitchen and tidy up the house.
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Good Morning!
Ugh, Monday. I think I need a do-over today. I woke up with a nasty headache, and had multiple brain lapses in the morning, including showing up to work with the side zip on my dress completely unzipped
. It's pretty bad I didn't notice this the whole way in, and I needed a male coworker to point it out to me.
Anyways, hopefully this afternoon will be better. No big plans for the evening.

Morning ladies.
My weekend was good and exhausting.
I finally got Zach to the shoe store for new shoes. Seriously this kid is a beast. He is size 6 extra wide. Christian is still sick, and has been fussy all weekend. Sad that I was actually looking forward to today so I could have a break.
Otherwise, I did a lot of laundry on Saturday, got the house clean, and now it's back to work. I have a busy week ahead, and am already looking forward to the weekend.
Have a great day ladies!
My weekend was alright.
Saturday I worked and then tried to go for a run. OMG, it sucked hard core. My original plan was to see if I could pump out 10 miles. Well, it was pretty warm and the sun was beating down. Usually, I run much better before work and I knew that but I figured it was worth a try. I ended up only running 10km with some walking and pouting and 6 pee stops. I would love to get out and try again this morning but it's pouring rain.
After work we went church and then to a friends for pizza and UFC. We didn't get home until close to midnight and I was so tired.
Yesterday was more work and then I was on call. I ended up getting paged twice and had to go in on one call. Had to make up some fancy eye drops. Fun.
Today I have a massage booked, will try to hit the gym and get some errands done. I have come beef in the crockpot pot for dinner and it smells so good already. Yum!
Weekend was very fun. We got up early on Saturday and trekked down to the National Mall for the book festival. We got to see quite a few people speak over the two days, including Jennifer Egan, Toni Morrison, Sarah Vowell, David McCullough, Joshua Foer, Sherman Alexie (who was hilarious--I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe) . . . the list goes on. It was fantastic. We had books signed by Egan and Vowell.
We spent Saturday night at a nice hotel downtown, had dinner at a nearby restaurant, then spent an hour at the hotel bar just chatting about our day. We got home yesterday at around six and did nothing other than talk about the festival.
Okay, I'll stop geeking out on you guys. Have a great day!
Good morning...
I'm totally exhausted and sleepy right now. Last night I stayed up late doing some homework on C++ which I absolutely hate. I just don't seem to understand this programming thing.
Anyways other than that, my weekend was fun. Friday we went shopping for some fall clothes and DH needed a suit. Lets just say that I might have spent a little more than I planned for at Banana Republic.
Saturday we went out with some friends for a birthday and for the first time in my life I had a beer. I generally don't like beer but I had some Framboise beer that actually tasted pretty good to me.
Sunday I spent over 6 hrs working on AutoCAD trying to finish my pedestrian bridge design. I just hope I can take it easy today.
We finally got around to spring cleaning last night... We've both lost enough weight that a lot of things in our closet didn't fit... My car is loaded up with five LARGE bags of clothes and shoes to take to Goodwill. It feels great. Josh and I even let each other go through the other's side of the closet and get rid of things we hated. Gotta love a good purge... and the fact that I never have to see that highlighter yellow polo ever again.
I work today, and then Josh's team plays game number three of the season. With all the craziness last week with the visit at work, I missed last week's games. The first I've missed in four years. Really bummed me out, but Josh understood.
We were at her talk, too! I knew I should have texted you.

Morning!
I had a rough weekend with some surgery after effects. It was so bad on Sunday that I called the on-call nurse to see if I should go to the ER, but by my follow-up appointment this morning, I seemed to have turned a corner. So, I didn't do much this weekend.
We did make it down to the Mall for a bit of the book festival. I bought a bunch of books and I got to hear Sarah Vowell, which is the one talk I really wanted to make it too, so I was happy. By the time her talk was over, I was starting to feel really bad, so we got home as soon as we could.
I did a little shopping for a gift exchange on GP, a little knitting, got groceries and made the best crumb top apple pie I've ever had for dinner on Sunday night. Other than that, I spent much of the weekend in bed and poor Jim did laundry and cleaned house all by himself.

Good morning!
Reba - I hope you continue to mend up!
I had a good weekend. We went to Word on the Street (a book festival) yesterday, which was a lot of fun. Otherwise, it was all about getting chores done around the house.
We've got appointments this afternoon with a new GP - our last one moved in March and we haven't had one since then. I'm hoping she's good; but I have a feeling that she's going to be lacking in bedside manner.

reba - I'm sorry you weren't feeling well and hope today is better.
I also wanted to say that I'm sorry you felt the need to leave GP last week. All that commotion happened when I wasn't around and was shocked when I went back and read it all. Just an FYI - no one seems to be talking about that anymore so hopefully things will be calmed down definitely in a week or two.
Hugs
I snuck back on this morning. I couldn't stay away - I'm way too invested in those friends.

Reba - hope you feel better and your appointment goes well today.
Good morning! My weekend was crazy busy. Friday met up with a friend for lunch at Red Lobster and a quick trip to Ikea. It was nice to see her but we didn't get to talk much since her 4 month old screamed the entire time. Poor baby.
Saturday I went to a shopping extravaganza at the outlet mall, it was a blast and I got some really cute fall clothes and boots. Saturday evening we went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse with J's parents and grandparents.
Sunday we went to my Grandma's to for a little b-day celebration with my family. J ended up getting sick so we left early. Boo!
Today some of the ladies in the office are taking me out to lunch. Other than that no big plans since J' is still sick.
Good morning!
This weekend was a good one. I am moving a little slow this morning and I can't seem to get motivated at work. I did find a major deal at Target yesterday. I went to get groceries and they had a Nerf gun Jordan has been wanting on clearance. It is reguarly 60 dollars and it was on clearance for 20 dollars. Of course Jordan was with me so I couldn't get it but DH went this morning when he got off work and they still had 2 of them so he got Jordan one for christmas. I was way excited.
Mondays are always busy since Jordan normally has tons of homework and he has soccer practice on Mondays.
Good morning. This weekend was pretty great. I went to a festival and saw The Black Keys, Manchester orchestra, the Joy Formidable, and Young the Giant.
Yesterday I studied for an exam I have on Friday not as fun.
I also think I hurt my ankle again walking so much Saturday. I don't think it has fully healed and now it hurts.
Reba I hope you feel better soon.
Crystalikbj- I love nerf guns. They are way cooler now then they ever were when I was a kid. That's a great gift.
Good Morning.
Today is my last Monday at work, a bit surreal but very welcome. I am exhausted and ready to not be pregnant anymore! The rest I said in my update post so I will not bore everyone again.
Reba-I hope you feel better, I have been thinking about you!
Have a great day ladies.
Good morning. It's Russ' birthday today and then he comes home tomorrow. I made him cheesecake stuffed strawberries last night and cannot wait to see the look on his face when he tries them. It's like heaven in your mouth.
The weekend was pretty laid back. Just a lot of cleaning and relaxing, not much else.
Today is going to consist of more cleaning and maybe changing a few lightbulbs that I've been asking Russ to change for the last 8 months or so. I might make some cupcakes today too and also some bread if I have time or ambition.
Morning ladies!
DH and I had a great weekend. We had a fabulous dinner on Saturday followed by a comedy show. We were the old people - haha. It was at a venue near the university and I swear 1/2 the kids had no idea who the guy was.
Sunday we laid around all.day.long. It was lovely.
I thought about texting you, but wasn't sure when you'd be around. Glad to hear you're turning that corner, too.
Morning ladies. We had a nice weekend over here as well.
On Saturday I went to a GTG with a few local girls from GPM. We went to lunch and then shopping. We spent the rest of the day at home since DH caught a cold. Sunday we went grocery shopping, watched football, and then went to visit the IL's. I also did a few loads of laundry so I woke up tired today.
After work I'm going to WW. I'm hoping I didn't gain and I'll be happy with that since I didn't get any exercise this week. Hope everyone has a great day.
In bullet form:
--I hate only nesting at night
--It is Monday and I am drinking wine
--I expect it will be a long week, even though two of my toughest kids were out today, the day was still crazy...
--I love and miss you all!

I too hate nesting only at night. Today at work was hell. I had my pre-observation meeting with my principal, but the student he was going to observe me with was absent today so my meeting tomorrow is going to suck. Then I get yelled at by a guy that had no idea what he was talking about and have to have an emergency IEP meeting tomorrow, in addition to the one I'm having tomorrow. Also I have another the following week.
Basically this week is going to kinda suck with paperwork and getting things settled.
