Happy Monday!

Hi Girls!!!

How was everyone's weekend?  What's in store for this week?

Our weekend was good, we had my bff Jill's wedding on Saturday (there are a TON of pics on FB if you want to stalk).  She looked amazing and we had fun with all of our friends. Yesterday, we just hung out.  We had breakfast at the diner, I stopped into work for an hour just to check on some class going on, then we went to the outlets and I bought a ton of things at the Loft.  Then I made dinner and we hung out.  Nice weekend overall!

This week is a 3 day week bc of the Jewish holiday.  Tomorrow is my first college fair, I'm organizing the whole thing and I can't wait till it's over!  SOOO many details.  But it should go well.  Wednesday night I have to have a small procedure done at the dermatologist, so I'll be recovering on my days off, Thu and Fri.  I'm looking forward to just doing NOTHING since I have to lay down so I don't have swelling.

What's up with all of you???

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Good luck with your fair tomorrow, I hope it goes nice and smoothly for you! Sounds like you had a great weekend with some fun and relaxing too!

I went to the chiropractor Sat am and then visited and had lunch with my dad. It was really nice hanging out with him, he's a pretty cool guy. After I got home SS had a friend over for a few hours and played xbox so DH and I just chilled out and I poked around for some more crocheting patterns.

Sunday we got up and ate, went to ACMoore to use a coupon and got a bunch of yarn! Then we went to whole foods to use our living social groupons. Got some pantry staples, chicken thighs and BACON. They have the most meaty (thick slices) bacon ever and it is so delicous. Then I tried shifting some books around so we could try some options for a small table/ bookshelf to go next to the keezer (think kegerator with 5 taps). Nothing we have will work so I'm looking  online this morning for some ideas. We watched the Eagles :-( then DH had hockey and I joined the after party at a bar and hung out with him and his teammates.

Whew! That about does it for me! Nothing unusual for me this week.

  • Our weekend was alright...Friday night we went to the resident appreciation dinner at our apt community....the food was good, but the rest of it was pretty lame (including standing in the rain waiting in the food line, ugh). Saturday I spent the morning/afternoon with my mom, we went shopping. Sat evening DH & I went for dinner, ice cream and to Target. Sunday we went to the diner for breakfast and ran some errands. I was lazy for the rest of the day!

This week I have my appt with the new ob/gyn, so I am super excited/hopeful for that. I'm armed with my list of questions and I'm feeling very hopeful for the appt.

  • We had a busy but good weekend.

Friday night I ran a few errands after work and picked up dinner.  DH called his siblings and told them about the miscarriage and then we did a few things around the apt.

Saturday we got up early and took my car to the shop and did a few other errands.  In the afternoon we stopped by my mom's and went to the IL for a while to tell them about the miscarriage.  MIL took it better than expected, so that was nice. Then we went to dinner with most of DH family.

Sunday we slept in a bit and finished laundry.  We also finally finished cleaning out/rearranging our office/spare bedroom just in case my BFF needs a place to stay when she gets here this week.  In the afternoon we went to the Rams game, which was beyond embarassing.  Then decided to go out for pizza after the game.

This morning I had a Dr appt and got in late.  Now I'm playing catch-up.

  • Friday night we stayed in and made supper. During supper Jeff looked up at me and freaked out because my face and chest were covered in hives, and I was swelling up bad plus a fever. He called his mom (she is a RN) as soon as my chest started tightening up a bit, and she told him what to do to get it to all go down, and it did, which included benedryl, so I was out by 8:30.

Saturday morning I ran in the 5K here in town. I was only planning on running half of it (if that), and I still got it done in 36:09. I haven't ran at all lately, so I was excited about that time. Then I spent the day cooking and cleaning. People came over for the game that night.

Sunday watched football, then later (about 9 pm) I noticed some bumps on my legs. I went to show Jeff and my back of my arms and most of my legs were covered in little red bumps, meaning hives again. Ugh, I'm probably allergic to the medication I am on, so I have to stop for about five days, then take one and see what happens. She is prescribing me a shot-thingy, too, in case the next reaction gets really bad. The saga continues...

Oh my goodness I hope the Drs are able to figure out what the problem is so you don't have to experience that again! How scary esp with the breathing being affected!

  • Yea, I bought four different vitamins today off of Amazon because I am afraid it is the Sulfasalazine I'm allergic to. I know sulfa is used in a lot of anitbotics, and I've shown some allergic reactions to some of those. But, the vitamins I got help treat the endo problems, RA problems and infertility problems. So, I figure they can't hurt! Plus, they were all WAY cheaper on Amazon than in stores and w/ free shipping!

I am allergic to sulfa and I had almost the exact same reaction as you (rash/hives, fever, swelling) it was miserable!  I hope they find something else to give you!

  • Saturday we had a girls lunch with my friend Janell, her mom, my mom and my cousin.  Later that evening we had a family party over my brother in law's house.  A good time was had by all.  Our niece got engaged and DH is going to be a groomsman.

Sunday I had a horrible morning - no luck with anything.  But the day got better as it went on.  I met up with some old work friends downtown Detroit for a bit and the Lions pulled off their 3rd straight win!  Got a bar burger later with DH and NDN.

Fun weekend overall but this weekend (other than 4:00 mass for my dad at church and a fall festival afterwards Saturday since we have Amanda this weekend) I'm not doin squat!!!  :)

  • Happy Monday (night) haha!

Very nice weekend, actually! Saturday was my day to hang out with Mom and do our girls thing, which is always a  treat, and Sunday I stayed in and caught up on some rest - and made a super slow cooker pot roast with  veggies which cooked while I watched football :-)

All in all, a pretty nice weekend!

I am hoping to find some time this week to "nest" during the day...wish me luck!

  • Our weekend was a disaster to say the least! We drove up to Indiana Thursday night for a drag racing event. Our goal was to leave the house by 6pm Thursday. Well, it took us a little longer to pack and then we had problems with getting the trailer lights/brakes to work and we had to plug one of the trailer tires. We decided to just drive to wal-mart get the part we needed and be on our way. Didn't even make it out of the subdivision. The trailer brakes were locked up. FIL drove behind us to wal-mart since we had to lights. Finally got that fixed. Made it to IL and the tire on the trailer blew. We were able to make it to the next exit and luckily the guy we borrow the trailer from lived pretty close so he brought us a spare. There was 43 miles of construction once we reached Indiana. The exit we needed to get off at was shut down so we had to take the detour through neighborhoods with a truck on a trailer. One one street cops were blocking off gas stations and had road blocks up. Finally made it to the hotel at 4am. Friday was beautiful. Saturday the weather was cold, windy, and had a little bit of drizzle. They weren't able to finish all the racing, of course DH's events were cancelled for the night. Sunday the weather channel showed the entire state of Indiana in green so we knew racing would be cancelled. Got to the track, loaded everything up, put the truck on the trailer in the rain which wasn't easy. Drove home. Our refunds will be mailed to us, but we have no idea how much we are getting back. We dropped the trailer off at our friends house, and dropped FIL's truck off Sunday night. We both had Monday off, so we unpacked and just relaxed. I need a vacation from my vacation.
