hey! Owen is here!

Hi everyone!! I have been home for a week with my little guy and adjusting to life as a mommy. Thanks Faith for the update in the Sept babies post below.

It's amazing how much this changes you and even the lack of sleep I don't mind. I had him via c-section on Monday 9/12. It was a planned c/s because they were concerned about size, my fluid levels and that he was still so high up and not engaging in my pelvis, which they thought may be too small for a baby about 9 pounds.

Owen Peter was 8lbs 14oz and 21 inches. I finally got to hold him about an hour after surgery, the wait was killing me. I started nursing immediately once DH put him in my arms and he took to it right away, we have been going strong with that since the start - I can't believe it. In fact he started gaining weight from his initial loss before we even left the hospital, which isn't all that common for breastfed babies. He is such a good boy and I can't believe he is my son!

I wish I could get my pics uploaded on this new computer, but at least I got one in my sig.

 Hope everyone is doing well!!Smile
