Easy Craft Ideas for Church Dinner

Every year our church does a dinner and we have to provide $20 worth of crafts or baked goods to sell.

I feel like I make the same baked stuff every year so I wanted to try and do something crafty this year.  Got any easy craft ideas for me?  They have to be pretty easy because I'm not the most crafty person.   People usually do autumn/holiday related items if that gives you any more ideas.

Thanks in advance.  I really appreciate it.

Re: Easy Craft Ideas for Church Dinner

  • have you ever seen the tissue paper poms? they also make teeny tiny ones that become napkin rings.

that might be simple to make many of and sell in sets of 6 or 8, in fall colors for the T-Day table, or in red and green and white for Christmas.

  • Can you sew? You could always make some really simple stockings.

  • First, how many crafts would you need?  One or more?  Are you on pinterest?
I'd say handmade ornaments. paper stencil towels, napkins, or aprons. Etched glass vase, baking/casserole dish, glasses/mugs/wine glasses (if you do wine glasses you could do wine markers with them using jewelry making supplies- I think they're simply the hoop earrings and then some beads and charms).  Oh, my new favorite- a frame- but instead of putting a pic in, put fabric or scrapbook paper in it and attach a white board marker to it. I just made one for my kitchen and love it.  Also a favorite easy and quick craft- wreaths- straw wreath form, wrapped in yarn, felt flowers (Or if you have/buy  a flower loom (cheap) you can do yarn flowers- I do this).
I have a bunch of craft boards on my pinterest if you want to take a look. I think I have some crafts on other boards like teacher gifts, christmas gifts and others too.)

I might be alone here, but I feel like you would be serving the fundraiser better to play to your strengths. If I buy something that someone else made, it's because it's higher quality or more artistic than I could make myself or find somewhere else. Beginner projects at a church sale would not take my money. I would rather buy a dozen cookies.
