Paperless statements

I have gone paper-less for bank statements. And I'm thinking about doing it for other bills. If you do this, how do u keep track of your bill paying system? I know I can receive an email when the statement is ready but wondering what you girls do to stay on track. Do you have a reminder go off on your cell/computer? Write dates on the calendar? What works? TIA

Re: Paperless statements

  • i have a calendar dedicated to the bills.. dh doesnt touch anything regarding money/bills.. i asked for full control because if both of us did it we would drive eachother crazy! when emails come in i write the due date on the calendar... we have the same bills every month.. so i write the bills on their due dates the only thing i add on the calendar is the amount. i also highlight the date in yellow of pay days so i can better balance the checkbook.

Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
  • I couldn't keep track of them when I tried this and ended up missing a payment because the e-notice went into my spam folder.  I switched back to paper after that.

  • I have an excel spreadsheet that lists all of our bills with their due dates each month. I use a new sheet each pay period and highlight what needs to be paid in each pay period and work off of this.  I'm not totally paperless but i rely on that spreadsheet for when things need to be paid versus the paper bills.
