It was a good episode, but it moved along slowly. What happened to Chalky and his crew was so crazy, I thought he was going to be killed too. I'm glad he's still around because I like his character and love the actor who plays him.
I think the Van Alden baby storyline will get even more interesting. I'm wondering if he'll make a deal with Lucy where she'll give him up to Van Alden and then he will surprise his wife with a child saying that he adopted him.

I thought it was a good episode althoug hit started out really slow.
I also thought Chalky was a goner. I thought the scene with Nucky giving the speech at Chalky's church and then the speech at the the white church was interesting since it shows how he plays all sides.
I'm intrigued by the Van Alden baby mama storyline. Maybe he will kill Paz's character like he killed his employee from last season and take the baby to his wife. Something tells me that Paz's character will not make a very good mother, and with his religious leanings I'm sure he will not want his child to be raised in Atlantic City. So I think he will either kill her or buy her off to take the baby to his wife to raise. Of course I don't think he will tell his wife he is the real father of the baby.
I loved how is wife got all hot and bothered when he raided the restaurant. What a saucy minx she is. And Nelson is a total dirty cop--he TOOK the money from the raid at the restaurant and gave it to Lucy--did anyone else notice the red money pouch at the restaurant and at the boarding house? Yep it was the same. Gotta love those Christian hypocrites.
Jimmy's mom is such an underminer. The scene where Jimmy wanted to go "gull hunting" with their son and Angela didn't want them to--but Jimmy's mom stepped in? Creepy.
I noticed that too. He is very dirty and I love how the boarding house was "men only," but he handed Lucy the pouch there. He is keeping a lot of secrets from his wife. I wonder if everything will come back to him in the end, especially if he killed of Lucy and took the baby too. He can't keep his wife and the Bureau in the dark forever, especially with Lucy involved. She outs everyone that wrongs her as soon as she gets the chance.
Jimmy's Mom is super creepy and his Dad is scary trying to get him to take over the city. That whole family dynamic is off. That's going to get ugly too.
I expect this show to start slow and build. The characters come and go so quickly in a lot of cases that they need slower episodes to build into the action later in the season.
Who kisses their MOM like that!? I feel so bad for Jimmy's mom actually--she was totally a poor child bride.
Did you notice the Mom's comment to the wife about, "I kissed his winky every time I changed his diaper" in the kitchen. WTF?
There's something seriously wrong with that woman. It makes me wonder about the BJs he claimed he was getting in France when he came back last season and wanted his wife to do it.
OMG, YES! I'm not sure if you ever saw this--but there was a post on the Bump about this exact thing a while back--A grandma (MIL) was caught kissing a lady's son's willy (or something to that effect) and it caused a HUGE blow up (of course people were all "call CPS on her!!!!11!!! She's a crackpot lalala") I read the post to MH and we talked all about it....Last night when Jimmy's mom said that, MH turned to me and said--"Just like that grandma!!"
I heard about the Bump post, but didn't see the actual post. That scene shocked me and not much does on HBO or any of the other premium channels. I knew it sounded familar though.
How could anyone NOT notice that comment?
