Do you decorate for seasons?

I've been seeing lots of posts to show off fall decor for centerpieces, mantels, etc.

I don't really get it, I'm not somebody who decorates for seasons or holidays. The only thing I do is a Christmas tree with some other minimal decor. It just feels like clutter to me.

Re: Do you decorate for seasons?

  • I have a pumpkin door hanger and a metal pumpkin that I out out for Halloween and a fall/harvest door hanger for November. I decorate inside and outside of the house for Christmas.

  • I usually do inside the fireplace for fall with little pumpkins.... but this year I kept the pointsettas in there from christmas bec I like the color. And I don't have the energy to pull them out just to put them back in a month. lol. I will probably put up little scarecrows in the front yard. And I wish my neighborhood embraced halloween. I really want a remote control zombie. But we never get trick-or-treaters.

I do Christmas all out, hard core.

  • I have a giant blow up black cat for the front yard, but other than that, no. I do go crazy for Christmas though.

  • I want to decorate a little bit outside but I won't go overboard. I have two really cute cloth scarecrows I bought this weekend stuck in the flower bed outside but they were on sale. I'm going to keep an eye out for a few small indoor decorations but I'll only buy things on sale. Joann's has really cute decorations and they put them on sale a lot so I'll check them out soon.

  • I forgot I also have some outside decorations for Halloween. I feel like holidays are different than just general seasonal decor.
  • I've got a fall themed centerpiece on the dining room table. That's about it.

  • No.  I wouldn't have the patience to change it out on a regular basis.  I still have decorations up from DD's 1st birthday party.  Yes, I said 1st.

  • No, it's too easy for me to make it look tacky so I just keep the same non-themed stuff the whole year. I do Christmas decorations, but they're tasteful and fairly minimal.
  • I'll do a little bit for fall, and I decorate for Christmas.  That's about it.
  • I decorate for fall (not Halloween specifically) and Christmas. I have very few fall decorations- a pumpkin hanger for the door, leaf placemats, and some orange candle holders for the mantle. I would like to get a little more, but haven't found anything I love. Those go up after the official first day of autumn and stay up till after Thanksgiving. Then I do Christmas decorations, which we have a ton of.

I don't do outside decorations at all though (unless you count the hanger for the front door).

  • I swap out my candles and little hand towels, baskets and flowers for seasons. oh, also the wreath on my front door is usually swapped out... but yeah, christmas one has been up since last december... it's just greenery with cranberries though so it matches the house

  • No. I'm still trying to get the initial decor situated. We finally got our first dining room table yesterday so I'm going to pretend it's not fall and decorate it how I've always wanted to decorate a dining table :)

Although I do burn seasonally appropriate candles... but that's about it. I like it to look like summer all the time in my house.

  • I love the idea of decorating for the season, but we really don't have anything to decorate.  I put a tree up at Christmas, that's about it.
