It went fantastic. I am SO SO glad I went.
The shower was over the top (this girls family totally is known for outrage, awesome events). The shower started with a cocktail hour. I got a bit nervous since when I got there I knew basically no one there so I was standing alone desperately looking for someone to talk to. Then two of her friends came over by me (thank god) that I've met before and I spent the time with them. I had a great conversation with them and got wonderfully starred down by the exbf.
Then we went inside to the room where the shower was and I basically was seated at a table and exbf was seated literally directly across from me where if I looked straight up we would be making eye contact. I sat next to a woman who I had a great time talking to. She has two older children, but she CD her kids and had done 2 home births, so I loved hearing her stories!! I really, really liked her and we had a great time being we didn't even know each other. I felt really confident and smiled the entire time because I genuinely was having a great time.
By the end of the event, she actually seemed to be more uptight than I was. Being she knew way more people there than me, it should have been the opposite. I think she was praying that I'd be fat from being pregnant (she is VERY superficial) and since I wasn't I think she was having an oh crap moment.
It was a fantastic day and I'm glad I didn't need to ring up Larissa for backup! Thanks ladies for telling me I should go!

Yup! The whole time. I was speaking pretty much nonstop to the woman next to me. We were having a great conversation. I literally smiled the entire time. I'm pretty sure she wanted to knock me out because I was clearly very comfortable there, which definitely annoyed her.
What a twat she is. Good riddance you're no longer friends. I thought she was going to have her clique with her?
She was missing her most important member of her tag team. Thank god.
