Where to buy a good lobster?
DH has one birthday request - to eat his own lobster at our house. Where do I go to get a good fresh lobster? Are Giant or Safeway lobsters good?
Re: Where to buy a good lobster?
Ok good, this is what I need to know. I was born and raised in a landlocked midwestern state. Red Lobster was a fancy seafood meal for us back in the day.
Check out this place: http://www.salt-river-lobster.com/Lobster.html
Awesome website! Thank you!
I was going to suggest this. They're at the Kensington Farmer's market every Saturday...
If for some reason you can't make it on Sat morning, I've bought lobster from the Asian Market on Georgia - NOT H Mart... Lotte Plaza. It's in the same plaza as the Outback Steakhouse (just past Y's house, before Aspen Hill). The lobster was just coming off the truck when I bought it; they were dumping them in the tank. They're actually very helpful at the fish counter there. If you stop in, I'll bet they'd tell you when they get shipments. I once called around everywhere looking for carp to make a Hungarian soup for my SIL, and they had it. (Oh, and the store doesn't reek of fish parts. Bonus.)
