  Jumping in to say that I don't have a Canon Rebel either. I have a Kodak c182 and the Kodak Playtouch pocket cam. Love them both.

  Also jumping in, I believe that is what she has. I also have the Canon Rebel, and LOVE it.  I am getting way better pictures of the boys. They are clear now, which I didn't feel like I was getting before.  I will admit that it is well worth the money!

  My biggest pet peeve is looking at something in a viewfinder, and then when the picture comes out, it's nothing like what I saw. We have a good Kodak point and shoot, and our flash and settings tend to ruin everything. Does the Canon have a good setting to get true-to-life pictures without having to use flash constantly? I don't want to constantly have to mess with the f-stop and other settings, though.

  I have a Canon G12 and it is the best camera I have ever had for taking pictures. I never use my flash and they always look great. It is kind of in between a DSLR and a point and shoot. You can use it like either type of camera.
