I'm at work. And my house is disgusting. I'd rather be home cleaning it. That makes me sound like a weirdo. But i really wish i was home cleaning my house....that's more fun than my job.

Re: Monday Moans
This carpal tunnel is b.s. I am all for baby cooking and taking it's time getting here, but I am going to be so grateful to give birth so I can have my hand function back. It's only been about 2 weeks of this, but this morning was so bad I almost cried b/c my stupid hands hurt so bad. This will likely be my only whine about pregnancy symptoms, b/c I am trying so hard not to complain when I've had a really easy pregnancy and have a healthy baby inside me!!!
Edit: I am also insanely bored. The house is spotless, the few small things that need done J has to do (either heavy lifting or hanging pictures that involve screws or anchors) and I can't entertain myself with any of the crafting I want to do b/c of the damn carpal tunnel. So, yeah. I'm going to go pace the house and see what else I can reorganize.
I spent all weekend at a math conference, so I'm tired and I didn't get any time to myself. When I got back, DH hadn't even gone to the grocery store, so we have no food in the house. I have several things that are overdue to catch up on.
I also got in an accident before I left on Thursday night. Some kid made a right turn from the left lane without even looking and hit me. So, I have to take my car to get estimates.
Everyone at work is sick, so I am fighting a cold. It's that icky "I know I am goign to get it anyway" feeling.
That and students fighting for points.
-I MISS MY HUSBAND AND I WANT HIM HOME!! Today is day 14/16 of him being gone. 2pm Wednesday cannot get here fast enough!!!!!!!!!!!!
-I'm also very crabby, miserable and really tired.
-My period is 3 weeks late (not sure if I'm pg or if it's just another extremely long cycle)
-My contacts are bothering me so bad today, everything is so blurry no matter how many times i take them out and rinse them with saline.

My moan is kindof a stupid one...
My alma mater put out a press release about a teacher receiving a distinguished teaching award and a former student receiving a distinguished volunteer award over alumni weekend next month. While I'm extremely happy at the choice of professor to receive the award (I had this particular professor and I can say the man is a genius and I've never seen a teacher make economics so stupidly relatable and understandable and so enjoyable), I'm super annoyed at the alumnus they chose. I knew the guy and he was a big jocky jerk who thought he was the cat's meow. The campus I went to was in a really small town and this guy's entire family has some affiliation with the university and he was always put on a pedestal because of it...and it's bugging me that 5 years after he graduated, he's still being hailed as some golden boy. I know of at least 10 other alumni who are way more deserving of that award than him, and it's really bugging me!
